N-deal
by prabha on Apr 29, 2008 08:38 PM  Permalink

I think India%u2019s name will be in the first place for importing. As we import things why we worry about more electricity.Govt is not doing well for the Indians except importing to help other countries. See the N-deal. India is an independent country so every citizen has the rights to vote for the N-deal. Let them do this first then you can take your own decisions. Only 1000 ministers inside the parliament cant make a decision that is going to provide bad results to our country. Let the indian citizens a chance to decide what they needed? Through these types of deals our govt is spending lot of our poor Indians money and leading the country to inflation. So they have to find their own way to stop it and not write articles like this in rediff to solve their problems. Our govt is the one creating these problems so they are the responsible persons to solve it too. Also don't think that your turn is done the coming govt will solve it this problem. We indians are clever and powerful definitely we will select the same govt to face these all. Also the N-deal problems, the current govt is the one going to face it in future too.So my request to our indians is to select the same govt next year too. So that the money they earned through this year ruling they will loose next sector.

India's political process delaying N-deal: US
by UmaShankar SathyaKumar on Apr 29, 2008 02:54 PM  Permalink

Oh! India is a democracy. We take time to ask opinion of people.

America is under a military rule. That's why the rich US neo-socialist elements were capable of thinking, planning, starting and are carrying on an illegal war on terror in Afghanistan and Iraq to siphon of more than $3 trillion of US taxpayer's money for the sole benefit of arms manufacturers, oil traders and the security firms. It already had cost the lives of more than 400,000 Iraqi civilians and 4,000 US tropes, injured 230,000 Iraqi civilians and 75,000 US tropes and more than 4.2 million displaced Iraqi refugees. They linked 9/11 to Afghanistan and then WMD to Iraq for initiating this illegal war on terror moneymaking horror.

Some paid servants are sitting on message board to write everything is good here. Their life is good. Everything other than is bleak. They should recognize that their leaders leave national shame in the name of development.

Why blame the communists. Why not the Hyde act which Dr. Chidambaram called as Jekyll & Hyde act.

If anything killed the act it would be Obama amendement. It destroyed the basis of Indo-US friendship.

Let us hope there is superior understanding of the dimensions and complexity of Indian democracy and the need to heed to its aspirations and rumblings. There surely is a critical need and commonality for India to have this N-deal, it is essential that this be done as an expression of Constitutional congruity. US is a developed nation and can afford a gesture of magnanimity.

Prez hopeful Obama, introduced that damaaging amendment with the best interest of US in mind and perhaps consistent with his belief to discourage civil nuclear as not safe tech option. So in a way it would be consistent with his value premise. That unfortunatelt has become a road blocker with severe unintended consequences. One wishes him and all other contenders well, and let us hope that who ever wins would make a course correction, to get the N-deal acceptable to whole spectrum of Indian polity. That surely is feasible.

If this correction is done during Prez Bush's time, it would help creating a good legacy for his difficult and historic watershed years.

Even as BJP%u2019s prime ministerial candidate L K Advani on April 27, 2008 reiterated his party%u2019s opposition to the India-US nuclear deal, saying it could not go ahead in the present form as it barred New Delhi from further tests, Brajesh Mishra, national security adviser in the previous NDA government, contradicted the stand.
