Grow up !!
by nalin tiwari on Apr 29, 2008 02:14 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

There's need to understand that in the model of growth our country is following, metropolitan cities no longer belong to their parent states.
Entire nation has a joint stake in that growth so if one tries to impose a local culture on an international city, he wud be only makin a fool of himself.

I agree with Emani.
Hindi states should teach any one Indian language other than Hindi at school level if Hindi is made compulsory for others. They should learn 3 languages like the rest of us.

Dr. U.R. Murthy's message is correct. according to me Bangalore is the only place in India where all the people speak in their own mother tongue except the local langauage Kannada. whereas in any other state it is very difficult to see any body speaking any other language other than the local language. we kanndigas are already become minorities in the capitol. if we donot protest right now kannada and kannadigas may not be seen in our own state capital city.

Not only Kannada, but all non-Hindi speaking states should have test of local language to allow people to live in those states.

Hindi speaking people pile onto other states without having a bit of sensitivity about the local culture. Whats wrong if Hindi speaking people learn other languages?

On top of it, people like you are so arrogant that you take up issues of tax and development.

Remember, because these places were developed people migrated to these boom towns. Who will go to Patna or Bihar shrif or Muzaffarpur from other states? You understand the difference?

So, having chosen a place because it is offering good life, RESPECT IT.

Loved your answer Chandrashekhar Kulkarni. Written sensibly.
People say they came to Bangalore and developed it. The truth is they came because it was on the rise. And if this is not rue there are many cities in India that need the services of these so called developers.
Developers pls volunteer .........

you have missed on some of their major achievements
1.biggest chit fund frauds the world has ever produced.
2.biggest financial frauds the world has ever witnessed.
3.chennai is to be converted into singapore.this slogan is on for years.but the end result is that chennai is what chennai is and just cannot improve.
4.cant put a desalination plant for over 40 years but the leaders are promising this for every election.states in gulf can do it in 2 years but for the people of chennai it takes 60 years to get a sanction for the same.just think if the population of tamilnadu contribute 1 rupee each the would have had 40 desalination plants by now. but they prefer to beg people for water.
5.all so called super stars are imports from other states and see if you could name one other than shivaji and kamal. It will be a big no....
6.Even the CM is an export from Karnataka (jaya).
7.The Indian team has just one player and there is no one else in the reconning.
