The resignation drama plaued by Gopinath Munde and Jaffer Sharief in the span 4 days is common tactic adopted by politicians of all hue.
The reasons vary. In the case of Gopinath Munde, he used resignation as a bargaining chip to prevent his marginalization by baseless leaders who are more Jehadi Hindu oriented.
Jaffer Sharief is no Munde. His base is confined to Muslims and that too is already eroded one - last Bangalore North in 2004. His resignation drama was designed to fool his supporters that he was taking up their cause but to let them down in the end. Shariff had no other alternative. The Muslims know very well that if they do not tactically vote Congress than they ensure a BJP government, Sharif or no Sharif.
Other BJP and Congress leaders did not go all the way to resign but "stormed out", "sulk" etc. All these are for the benefit of supporters who lost out in the ticket race. Politics is the art of making everything possible viz compromising. This was evident in both Munde's case as well as Shariff's drama
..indicate that even backing of caste and / or community do not provide enough incentive to come out from party fold. It's a message to 'unprincipled self seeking' rebels.
If any body who thinks that karnataka is developed my state gov, it is his mistake. rather it is done by center Gov. Karnataka has got Deve Gowda/Jaffer sharriff etc as noted politicians.
Sonia has been paying only lip service to Dalits. She is more interested in selling Bibles to them rather than giving them political power. Kharge has worked hard for several years to rebuild Congress base. But Sonia has allowed Moily and SM Krishna select candidates cutting Kharge to size.

AFTER meeting madam sherif started wagging his tail just after getting a bone a dog wags its tail.probably madam might have offered him a governers post to enable him to serve the party by manipulating in raj bhavan when congess needs some one to help it.

All he was interested in was to get tickets for all eligible members of his family. Once that has been assured, he will sing a different tune that 'minorities' have got their due in Congress. And that he is an old soldier of 'secular' Congress and will accept what ever responsibility high command will give him to 'serve' people and 'fight communal forces'. Then he will either get parliamentary ticket or post of Governor as pat on back by Madam. Sad part of this sordid drama is that the poor minority community will be fooled by his drama and may be vote again for him/his family and then get nothing in return. Jaffer Sharieff was the key person in fanning passions and causing riot in Bangalore streets after Saddam's execution. Hope his own people see his game plan.

Nonsesne, After saddam's execution who started the riots. It is bullshit that CKJ started the riots. we never heard tht in any media.
And what CKJ gave to congress should also be remembered. He retained the seat for 8 terms. He won his seat when congress succumbed to waves created by the opposition. Just because he is simple and not outspoken, he is sidelined. Anybody else with his kind of experience would have been a chief minister of a state.

there are some who know how to reach the top with a short cut/easy way ck jafer shareef one, a driver knows what the passengers are upto that is how jaffer has come up, such leaders are congress gift to nation for doing hero worshiping the best way to come uo worship/sonia/rahul then only they have future? there is no use to be a sincere congress man

BJP managed to win the Muslim dominated Bangalore North parliamentary seat because of CM Ibrahim's devious act of dividing Muslim vote. Jaffer Sharief who had continuously won from that seat several times lost for first time because of Ibrahim. The Congress should never allow this crook to enter the party.
