I am neither a left nor right, but am proud to say that I am a neutralist, assessing any issue purely in terms of real and perceivable development to benefit deserving needy of the nation! As Kalam once wondered at Indians excelling while abroad, but stagnating with idle brains in India, though reason for Indians%u2019 excelling in abroad is essentially due to reason that westerners are comparatively less meritorious intellectually, as whether Indians or any other cannot change their inherent attitude permanently as inherent qualities of a person is exactly identical to properties of an element as per chemistry, which can never be changed permanently! Our engineers are either on brain drain or reluctant to explore possibilities of erection of more hydro electric power generating turbines through out the nation to tap 90% of water allowed to waste into seas! They should be made to work and install more hydro electric power plants to utilise most of water wasted! Late Kamaraj of south, as Chief Minister of erstwhile Madras Presidency, actually moved with such reluctant engineers etc., to various sites, who tried to bluff him with lame excuses, to finally order on the spot how to do the works. By his such own personal involvement and dynamism, he could bring the state to a status of the best amidst entire nation! Thus, hydro electric power production can be boosted several times if appropriately handled. Apart, as Kalam said, availability of plenty of Thorium should be exploited t

"Negotiation fatigue" - some managers know this as. Chinese are hoping for this in re: border settlement with India. Sri Mehbub SinghJi, Please reassure us you are not in the team negotiating our border with China, not in the team for the Iran-Pak-India gas pipe line, not in the team negotiating for better trade terms with E.U. for our exporters, not in the team negotiating trade with Pakistan, across the Wagha Border. Please do not apply to join Lakshmi Mittal's purchase team nor Tata's purchase team. We are all anxiously waiting for your reassurance.
U.P.A. strives hard so much that it does not leave any stone unturned to put through the Nuclear deal without a necessity though there are many alternative sources as eminent scientists had pronounced from time to time. Did they strive hard so much to wipe away corruption that comes in the way of development of a large number of poor and down trodden which cannever be perceived? In fact, this deal is a security danger!
Rajeev Srinivasan shows that this Deal is NOT good for India. Prof. Brahma Challaney had also looked at the Deal in detail and came to the same conclusion in essays he has contributed to Deccan Chronicle and other media. 1) This is yet another of this UPA government's ill-conceived programmes, along with the Sethu Samudram project, Iran-Pak-India gas pipe line and so-called loan-waiver to our farmers. 2) While energy security is a good aim, hard thinking is required to go about it in a sensible way. 3) One sensible way, as R.Srinivasan has suggested is: Break traffic bottle-necks. Currently, if a motorist spends Rs.100/- worth of fuel to get from A to B, Rs.50/- worth of fuel is spent "idling" waiting in traffic. Only Rs.50/- worth of fule spent in "moving". This failure to rationalise road transport is a disgrace. It demonstrates the impotence of our politicians and officials. 4) India can, and must, show more patience to work out how thorium can be used in the place of uranium. Dr. Abdul Kalam knows his science. He says it can be done. Put trust in his words and work hard. He is a Guru whose words his pupils must listen to and will reach the goal he has set. What is the harm in trying that out? 5) There is some truth in our Leftists, usually neative abt many things, saying that India wd come under US pressure in her foreign policy, towards such countries as Iran - shd this Deal be signed. 6) Even without this Deal Indo-U.S. relations would improve very well.

Even Octroi posts in every city are huge bottle necks, not only do they waste time and precious fuel, but they are also hotbeds for corrupt civic officials to amass huge wealth at expense of poor public. Many such things can be pointed out which exist only because they give extra corrupt income to govt. babus, no wonder people hate such stuff.
My personal experience is that just by closing all these Octroi posts , the amount of time and fuel saved would be big enough to make a sizeable part in our GDP.
Petty corrupt officials are holding this country as hostage for thie own selfish gains. Same is for our top leaders too. Everyone wants money from others without adding any contribution to the wealth. We have people whose mindset is like dacoits.

Our Finance Minister is poor man who is pondering over in search of possible revenus to strenghthen our Nation by increasing tax net, while he is silently watching and letting all huge amounts of black money pass through unchecked by tightly closing his both eye and ears as if the entire world is dark! The other day the large property exhibition under one roof brought all black money together when large number of builders and buyers at very exhorbitant rates were transacting. What about most of politicians who could not affod to even cycles who loitre in individual air conditioned cars of entire family members etc.,? All these resources of balck money are open to public who are able to see all while our PM and FM could not isolate hse glaring resources for tax raiding while their agencies raid here and there one or two small fish and report they are not aware of such black money resources! Is this not an open eye wash perhaps due to their own vested interests excluding PM?
The writer here is trying to justify a few individual observations like Bangalore flyover and congres's management of meagre growth with a few well known facts. No conclusion can be derived from this kind oof analysis.
When Rajiv Gandhi brought computers IT in In India in 1980's these commies CPI-M Opposed IT said that because of computer millions of people will lose jobs. Now every one knows how many jobs created in India because of IT.And where India stand today because of IT. Now these commies CPI-M again saying same statement for Nuclear Deal and every thing.Let them bark dont care.

From 2nd last Para - "The most optimistic estimates by the establishment suggest that 7 per cent of India's energy needs will come from nuclear fission."
First of all acceptance/rejection of this deal should not be taken as our attitude towards US relations. Just because we reject the deal does not mean we hate US and become a Communist nation neither is it other way round.
We need clean and cheap electricity. If possible avoiding expensive import deals that give opportunity to corrupt persons to take bribes.
We need the latest technology pioneered in western countries which is using Solar and Wind power and is sustainable.
So just because a person criticizes this deal does not mean he/she is a Communist or terrorist or anti-US. Please stop using wrong logic to blame others who put views which dont suit yours.
