Most want peace! It is an universal human instinct. We fight & kill for our egos, worse than animals, who do so only to feed themselves and when threatened. We can start a war on unseen Gods. I have seen some virulent postings based on religious fanaticism and they come to nothing in the end. You are born to a religion, you tend to defend it. Your thinking is blinkered and see only the positives. Of course, when you convert to another one, one is more thin-skinned!
The arms the poor nations buy,including us, are the greatest blot on humanity. Is it so difficult to live in peace? When the astronaut views our planet from space, he sees the beauty of creation, without borders!
It is time we just said, enough is enough. Let us live & let live. We can join together to improve our lives! We have lots to do. We are going hungrier & hence angrier! We can join not only to fight poverty, but also to save our planet so that our future generation will live better.
I have found Chinese, Pakistanis, and others with the same nice feelings when we interact. But the politicians make our lives a real hell. Why purchase all these weapons of mass destructions to kill off the innocents, most on hungry stomachs?
Enough is enough! Let us cry halt to these meaningless existence to think peace! These arms merchants will never use them in their shores, but only on the hapless poorer countries. Recent history is proof of that!

Petrol cost per liter Rs 32 Diesal cost per liter Rs 21 Toyota corolla Rs 8 lakhs
India petrol Rs 48 per liter Diesal - Rs 35 toyota corolla Rs 10 lakhs So things might be cheaper in Pakistan I guess leading to higher standard of living than India.

In Pakistan, the only remotely decent areas are Punjab and Sindh. The rest of the country is worse than Afghanistan. In India, I can name more than 10 areas which are better than Sindh/Punjab in Pak.

BTW I am indian but having an intelligent discussion on finding that Pakistan living standard is higher than Indians.
Its waste spending that much money for arms. Rather spend them for poor people, good education and healthcare. Good people are an asset to the country. India with it's high GDP can keep the poor happy by giving 1kg rice for 2 rupees, and free houses. That does's increase the PPP of a poor person but he will be happy. In Pakistan, such incentives are not possible. Check with queen Sonia or Prince Rahul or their follower YSR.
