Sir,
The governance will be as good as the person u entrust the job. To choose the best person people should be alert, and know what is good and what is bad. Apparently this not the case. Political parties are very good in the act of PRO. They cover up their deeds and actions, by good words which are only spoken.Whereas the common people neither know what good has been done, nor there are means available to them for knowing.

Those are simple issues. Unconventional solutions are required for the most simple problem. But the political parties without exception are all the same, the reason being they do not know anything about administration, and only good at weaving poll strategies. None of them have the leadership qualities. Political class is a seperate breed of people altogether, which manouver itself to victory by hoodwinking the people. For this they take the help of goons, those who make money through wrong means, and others, who put up boards showing their availabilty for a price.

The people who are honest do not win elections. The people who have the capabilities are not allowed to b ecome the leaders.Elections belong to those people who can wield the lathi. The common peole who form the electorate never get their share.

The political parties/leaders are never content. it is better that they are avoided. They go to their knees to get the votes, but you feel betrayed when they do not show they fail their duty. It is better that we stay away from these ch

Whom do you entrust the job of Governance? It is you, me & others who need to make the right choice. The need is to weed out people like Dev Gowda, who cannot give stable government to satisfy his own egos. It is almost impossible to find honest people in politics, but there are people in politics who are less dishonest & get the work done. Dishonest politician will be weeded out as the time goes by%u2026. As you said the need is also to choose the Right person/party out of available resource.

Winnability and Severity of Revolt
by Suresh Gowda on Apr 23, 2008 02:29 AM  Permalink

1. The number of applicants per ticket per party is directly correlated by the degree of winnability perceived by the party. Accordingly, it can be taken as a proxy indicator of the winnability prospects of the party. The Congress attracted maximun candidates per ticket and from this criteria appear to be most winnable.

2. The intensity of disappointment on failure to get a ticket is also directly correlated to the degree a party is considered winnable. The more a party is considered winnable, the more intensity of disappointment and vice versa. Since the intensity of revolt in BJP is least, the BJP is perceived least capable of winning

dr. paul makes the case for a bjp rule in karnataka
by Pradip Parekh on Apr 23, 2008 01:58 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

the bjp party in gujarat has excelled in all the issues de. samuel paul says are the issues for karnataka in this election. bjp has given gujarat a balanced state wide growth, water crisis was taken care of with narmada dams (in the face of worldwide conspiracy and opposition abetted by congressis and commies and missionaires); the power problem too has been eliminated. dear kanadgas, your choice is thus extremely easy. just stamp the kamal flower and walk back home with a smile on your face.

Dear Sir,

An opinion given without knowing the truth is a mistake, hence should be pardoned. BJP belongs to the sophisticated class of rich people who do not know the color of blood. They know only the color of money. BJP we have seen has not done anything at the center, than create more rift in the Country. But they are good at connivance, and PRO. To win the elections they gave the illusion that they did development. But people knew better, hence they lost the elections. And in Gujarat, the situation is different. BJP is riding on Modi, who is the modern day Hitler, who can kill thousands of people to accomodate the upper caste people. Modi is the saviour of the people who are polarised on caste lines. They are now scared to go back to a neutral position, lest there will be retaliation. Moreover an illusion is created, that a class of people are bad. The supporters of the elected leader talk worse than a butcher. The talk of development is hogwash. They have paid servants do the work of PRO. It is more of boutique than a political party. They have the best brains do that for them, of course for a price. Conscience or no conscience money dicates the victory.

So to reach the level of Gujarat, I believe it is not what Mr. Sam Paul says is important, but polarisation along caste lines is important. Hence kill some people here and there. Yediurappa will not mind, but people of Karnataka are more inteligent, will they bite.
Thanks
N. Shenoy

I fully agree with Ramyata.Deve gowda and his family have plundered Karnataka . Moreover they
successfully aleinated Kannadigas from neighbours.
Kanadigas have now lost their charm. They have
earned more enemies and lost their friends. This
party or the party of religion can efectively doom the prospects of Kannadigas very soon.

As an ex-prime minister, he is expected to air his comments on international and national issues.
by Lopesh Desai on Apr 22, 2008 09:29 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Gowda is not acting like an ex-Prime minister but like a typical street politician. we all know how he became P.M. Laloo in a meeting 1996 told the coalition parties kissi gaddhe ya goda go bitta do . The coalition immeditely took goda as gowda and thus we had Deve Gowda as the P.M. Since then after he lost the prime ministership and can only pity him. DGowda and sons owning crores and crores of property are still not satisfied. And want to grab as much as possible berofe relinquishing power to BJP (if Deve Goada does it) As an ex-prime minister, he is expected to air his comments on international and national issues. Gowda says he is a man for the poor. Just visit Padhmanabhanagar and see Gowdas inheritance. You cannot sell a property without their blessings Gowdas two childern look like your neighbourhood robberers. What educational qualificatio they have to become Chief Minister and a PWD minister Now it is Mr . Mr Gowda calls himself a Mannina Maga . Does %u2018mannu%u2019 refer only to the land in and around Bangalore

Outer Ring Road for Bellary
by ravi kumar on Apr 22, 2008 09:22 PM  Permalink

Absolutely This issue of Non development and making scape goats of people is something which has to be stopped. Some of the Statistics i just want to highlight which makes all bellarians scape goats are :
1.The largest amount of Tax gained by state and Central government has been from bellary
2.This Largest tax payer for Railways in transportation of Mines, and its a pathetic situation where in there is just 2 platforms for trains of this city and there are just handful of trains go through this city for People. Not a Single new train has been introduced in decades.
3.The growth of Mining And industries around the city has literally made this city a City full of Dust and Pot Holes where in u can park your Car.
4.This time around i would like people talking about development and what plans they have to improve this city rather than dirty politics of castism and Money power.
