Madam President
by Yadubhanu on Apr 20, 2008 10:10 AM  Permalink

While selecting candiadates for the the highest post in the country the politicians have to take in to consideration the personal and mental fitness of the person who is going to communicate with world leaders of great repute. Any how more than the madam president her husband seems to be enjoying the postion of President's husband thoroughly.

Pratibha fails to see Tricolour

Mexico, April 18
President Pratibha Patil gave protocol jitters as she inadvertently passed the Tricolour at the ceremonial reception without bowing, but quickly went back after her attention was drawn by the Mexican Guard Commander.

Patil, who was inspecting a guard of honour by the Mexican Presidential Guards, walked past the Mexican flag without realising that her Mexican counterpart Felipe Calderon had stopped to pay respect to his country%u2019s flag. The President then moved ahead without stopping before the Indian flag. %u201CMadam President...,%u201D the Guard Commander called out and Patil quickly retraced her steps and honoured the Tricolour.

A president who does not know protocol!
by Ramesh Kapoor on Apr 19, 2008 10:11 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

All was reflected in her taking the guard of honor, and she failed. It seems that even as a Governor in Rajasthan she had kept herself oblivious of protocol and neither did her staff at Rashtrapat Bhavan failed to advise her of how to take a guard of honor. Paying a tribute to Mahatama in a foreign land, just reflects to the hypocrisy of the Indian government, while all Mahatama's principles at home are infringed by it. Why this obsession?

obsession is easy to explain: congress has no record to talk about. it owns mahatma, and has been milking the icon. congressis have even filed a lawsuit in usa against those who questioned congrssis's locus standi with the mahatma.

Let's flood the Madam President's inbox
by Vishvaksenah E on Apr 19, 2008 05:11 PM  Permalink

Respected and Honourable Madam President of Sovereign Socialist Secular Republic of India is an extremely busy person. Hence she wont have time to access e-mails unlike her predecessor.
Some secretary must check her e-mails.

It will be good if we can all send e-mails to her requesting her to not to stir out of Rashtrapathi Bhavan. Of course she and her family members would like to pay state visits to other countries in the future. But to save the honour of India, let her be confined to the opulence and magnificence of Rashtrapati Bhavan only..
Her e-mail id is:
presidentofindia@rb.nic.in

We read this morning's papers
by Cutlet Gravy on Apr 19, 2008 11:08 AM  Permalink

We read this morning's papers
and saw pictures of President Patil
showing disrepect to the Tricolour
in Mexico by by-passing Indian Flag.

A Mexican official had to ask her to
go back and bow to the Indian Flag
during a ceremony, after she had ignored
our Flag.

What a shame !
