Is this boy unemployed or the Itlian Mom kicked him out of the house. it looks like Priyanka Maino is contesting for the Manmohan chair. Give this boy a bucket and a shovel, he can plant some Wheat instead of sitting and doing the Dharna. His DHARMA is get a job before and don't prey on the tax payers.
Guys, Don't speak ill of the first son of the country! He may have dated a Columbian but that's only because he didn't want to hurt any Indian community by prefering one over the other. He is a Harvard-returned, so what if he could not get into regular courses, he passed a 6 month certificate course in photography there. That alone should give him access to Manmohan's chair. He missed his father while growing up, that's why he missed out on a career which his father had (as IAC pilot). It's not fair if we criticise Rahul for not having a career other than the one he is born with (as the scion of the ruling family). He has tried hard to look for one in the last decade or so which is much more than what we guys have spent looking for one. And he has willingly sacrificed a cushy role as super-PM's son to be directly in the line of fire of other netas. He has not earned a salary so far (except as MP) but we are told that he feels the pain of a hardworking middle class worker who has to work his ars only to see his taxes being used for politicians bunking work. So what if Rahul did not drive a car in a crowded city or learn to use a laptop or even speak in the parliament, he is whether we like it or not - THE FUTURE OF INDIA. I say give him a bharat ratna right now so that he can enjoy the adulation while still young and alive! And let's accept reality and pride our future.

He is trying hard these days-when the country is approaching a parliament election year and the question of the new PM has already taken the grounds- to show the aam admi that he is PM(permanent moroon?) material. His Dad did that years ago emulating the real Gandhi's third class train ride. The gaping Amethians will send him to parliament again.Suppose the rest of the Indians don't want him as the PM,will his mommy listen to it?
Why would give jitters man???? u people give so much hype. Rahul gandhi toured during last assembly elections wht happened congress did even badly. Rahul gandhi toured dalit villages wht happened congress lost its own 2 seats in by-elections give a break sir

by Raju nair on Apr 19, 2008 03:22 AM Permalink
Ok, since he lost the elections he should be done with the ordinary folks. But that didn't stop him. He still goes around the country just to get to know our great people of of our villages who basically is the foundation of our country. If he sits at home or work for a MNC everyone will start talking about his Patriotism. He is living by a double edged sword. Whatever he does will be percieved in a negative way. So let's give this guy his due.

Raju, I think our MNCs are making a huge mistake by not hiring a harvard-returned. So what if he has no paper-qualifications to work even in a municipal post, his potential is hidden. UP is not his aim, he deserves the whole country.

With due respect sir, Rahul is not an Idiot. He is naive when it comes to Indian politics coz he was born into eliticism. Well if he comes up as a good politician people would vote for him. Till now he has not got a knack with the common Indians, that doesn't mean he will never get it.
You must be the change you wish to see in the world. - Mahatma Gandhi
Rahul has taken the right step, try to be with the real people of India. He had missed the feel of india as a toddler because of the security blanket around him . Correspondingly he is quite naive when it comes to the dog eat dog politics in India. I hope by the end of this he comes out as a mature "dog eat dog" politician. After all that is what we have against him.

There is no security blanket around the Gandhis, they are the target of cruel fate. But that did not stop Rajiv from getting a salaried-career working regular hours like any IAC pilot. Unfortunately, Rahul spent all his time trying to get good education first at St. Stephens where he entered under sports quota- he could not concentrate on studies due to media attention. Then he went to Harvard and passed a diploma 6 month course with flying colours. And since then he has tried hard to find a career. So one can pity his condition if he is forced to become PM one day.

And besides being half-an outsider, Rahul will have the ability to think outside the box....he will have a different perspective than you or me. I say, let's make it a law to allot top posts to outsiders or elite families at least. That way our democracy can truly be international!

Muslims are already doing it.They will never, never, vote to other communities. They are highly parochial, communal minded and do not have interests of the country but only pay first allegiance to their religion.

That's sure way to bankrupt India.
After his father's tragic loss, Rahul must be extremely careful. Even his body guards must be checked out. He is mixing too much, any one who claims to have a problem also could be a potential danger. I personally think, he will make a good leader.

R U really one of our fellow citizens or somebody from our Neighbouring countries using a holy name to be one among US. If u were one among us you wouldn't be talking about destruction but of Hope & Change. Ordinary people (like us) can do extraordinary things

WADR, let's take this one step higher. Can you ever blog in a common form w/o using foul language. Do u think that we don't know how to use your type of language. This shows your class. Ok if u r so bitter then why don't you join the system and save our grat nation from the Clutches of the "Gandhi Dynasty". Anybody can be a spectator but it requires "b...s" of steel to get into the arena and play the game. If you can't bear the heat get out of the kitchen. So my friend try to be civil in public forums. Try to share ideas and views not your bad language.

I think it is commendable that Rahul is sacrificing his youth for the country, never mind the negligible time he spends with the Columbian. He is like the soldier who is fighting for us in Kashmir border, except that he is willing to take up the PM post with no experience (of any previous job) to back him. You or me cannot do it nor will anyone hire us for a chamchas post without previous reference. But the Gandhis are different, especially Rahul he has a flair and I say - hidden potential. I say, bhai ....Let us surprise our enemies and friends by choosing him as PM. Long live our future....
