Indian Cowardice
by suman on Apr 18, 2008 10:17 AM  Permalink

The spineless Indian government, in its enthusism to placate Chinese goons, jettisoned democratic principles and human values. Shame on Indian cowardice. A weak and timid country like India is not fit even for temporary membership of UN security council. Leave apart permanent members

Buddhism & hinduism are good religions
by Neha Bhatia on Apr 18, 2008 05:55 AM  Permalink

Atleast 95% of christians and muslims are terrorists because
they believe in killing humans and animals as sacrificial offerings
to please their own gods.

Where as atleast 95% of hindus and buddhists are peace loving
because they do not believe in killing any one as sacrificial
offerings.

Indian communists and their chinese masters
by Vishnu Sharma on Apr 18, 2008 12:37 AM  Permalink

The indian communists are resentful of the fact that since 60 years of independent India they could not form a government and foment a revolution.
They could not brutalize the Indian people like they fervently wished to.

This chinese sycophancy is the latest ploy.

There is a story of the horse and the deer.
The horse was extremely jealous of the fleet footed deer and therefore he completely surrendered his freedom to the hunter in order that the deer be killed by the man riding him.
He never regained his freedom after that.

The communists are doing the same.
They wan to destroy Indian independence and India as a Nation by completely surrendering their freedom to their chinese masters.

1962 war secrete war
by Arjun on Apr 17, 2008 02:20 PM  Permalink

Dear Indians,

China huminliated India in 1962 war. We lost because of Nehru's lack of vision, his lack of strategic thinking and spying by communists in India. We had plenty of brave army jawans and officers that could have kept china engaged for many many years, not thru open war but thru proxy wars. But Nehru caved in like a coward.

Besides usual public war agreements, then congress leaders to save their seat of power in Delhi entered into a secrete agreement with then chinese military generals that India will be a vassal state of China for 65 years.
Since then congress whenever in power in Delhi has adopted beaten-up obedient cow like attitude in front of chinses bullying. Congress has systematically ignored India's strategic interests.

China poses a great threat to India thru its support to pakistan, support to maoists, control of rivers to east India etc etc.

Time to wake up!!

This is not a solutions..

We are fearing that Tibetians will unlight the torch, but what will they get from it.. nothing.. china will not change.. nor it can pay back the lives of tibetians lost in the struggle.

I fear that there will be mass violent when the games really start. I think lots of the country will withdraw their sportsmens from the china at the time of olympic..

My personal advice is to not travell china at the time of games... and pray for peace before the games start.

You are too pesemistic. The game will be enjoyed by billion's people from developping countries and developped countries. There is no boycott from any countries but only a few westerner leaders (politician). Who care about those politician's absent? If a bounch of Tibetan monks want to be violent, you know what is the ending , do you? You do not need Chinese army or policemen, ordinary Chinese will arrest you if you dare to interupt the game or be violent in China. This game is 1.5 billion Chinese's game, it is 3 billion's developping country people's game. Who against the game is against Chinese and against 3 billion developping country's people, including majority Indian people.

Don't mix sports and politics
by A p on Apr 17, 2008 11:52 AM  Permalink

I think it is unwise to mix politics and sports. Using Olympic games and ceremonies as a tool for political protests only weakens the movement. It gives the impression that the movement is not strong enough and it needs crutches to stand on and get attention. But sadly only such acts attract attention from the media which is too busy reporting violence, sex, and who wore what. And the media will forget it sooner than later and so will the people.

For sports, disrupting Olympics will be unfair for the thousands who have been preparing for it for almost all their lives. And for politics, the Chinese oppression of the helpless Tibetans is well known and acknowledged. And I commend the perseverance of the Tibetans and their unrelentless fight for freedom. But I'm against the idea of using Olympics as a platform to put forth grievances.

Somebody below commented that the Mahatma's country should feel ashamed. I ask what did the Mahatma ever do to "attract attention"? He started out alone on everything he did. He marched out alone towards Dandi and the rest is history.
