What System intellectuals?
by Ashokan Kalakoduvath on Apr 16, 2008 10:40 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

We have experienced Nehruvian mixed economy, now we are experiencing PV Narasimha Rao's Neo-Liberalism. In these two types of systems rich became richer and richer and poor became poorer and poorer. Farmers lost their lands, became agricultural labourers and now they are commiting suicides. All the fruits of power have been enjoyed by a few capitalists and their broker politicans. By sitting in the posh IT offices can you give justice to the poorest of this country my dear intellectuals?

Vote for LPP
by JAYARAM GOWDA on Apr 16, 2008 10:21 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Very interesting to know there is already a party existing with forward thinking.
We will vote certainly, and even work for them given an opportunity.I think, we should spread the message among all the learned and socially concerned people so that the party gains a momentum and take a strong position to implement these programmes.
best regards,Jayaram

I shall not vote for them. The idea of paying RS 25
per hour to people working in the unorganised
sector is absurd and will be detrimental to the society at presnt.

education - good politician no relation
by sisya on Apr 16, 2008 10:20 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

i do not think education has any relation to governance.
If that was the case the IAS officers, the best of the lot could have done remarkable changes.

A typical example being the survey done by KPMG on corprorate corruption. Even in corporate level, MNC ( enron, Xerox scandal) there is bribery.

king Martin luther has said " Our scientific power has outrun our spiritual power.
We have guided missiles and misguided men"

Sisya,

Please remember that IAS/IPS officers are under the full control of politicial people including ministers.

So there is no use blaming them when even the President in our Constitution does not enjoy independent powers. First we need to change the law and then blame the Government officers.

So please undertand the situation first before blaming IAS officers. The system i scorrupt because people like us vote the wrong people to power or worse still we educated ppl. never vote at all

Vote for them...
by Arnav Singh on Apr 16, 2008 10:03 AM  Permalink

I heard about them few yrs back. I will vote them in coming general elections for sure (if they contest from there).I dont live in K'taka, but I will request all here who belong to B'lore to vote for these people. Even if they get a single seat, it will be a motivation for them for future. We have nothing to lose. We have already been exploited n cheated by present lot of politicians. There is no harm in giving these guys a chance. They in no way can b worse than our politicians in any party.

very interesting....but
by Anand DK on Apr 16, 2008 09:59 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

thiis is very interesting and this is what our country needs. Only thing we need to watch out for is the credibility of the people making these committments. If someone gives details about their backgrounds and work done that would be great. else will end up in the same garbage can.
