friends the floodgates have been opened now with this new judgment on OBC Qoutas in higher education. all the talk about excluding creamy layer etc are just eye wash to let people think that some concern has been showed to meritocracy. when a nondeserving cnadidate becomes a doctor will our politically correct establishment ever want to go to him for treatment? can u ever imagine a politician, judge, NGO chatterbox or media baron to go to him for treatment? or if any of these people mentioned above ever get to know that so and so has passed thru quotas , will he ever take his critically ill child to that social - justice - empowered - OBC doctor? no friend! u can bet yr last dime that social justice will be limited to forcing the general tax payer pay the price for imported politically correct theories!

politicians run out of the country for treatment. there should be some clause which says that the treatment will be paid for only if its held in india.
As someone who spent many years of my life in south-indian villages, if I may say so, Professor D.Gupta, has got it right. The main obstacle to SCs and STs in rural areas have been the OBCs. It is a shame that India's chattering classes with their Das Capital "analysis" of Indian history have not understood rural life. In TamilNadu, the ruling DMK and its parent DK, built up a well-connected mythology of anti-brahminism, anti-brahmins, Dravidian "race", anti-Sanskrit and anti-Hindi stance to gain political power for the OBCs and BCs. I do not see all that much gain for the Dalits in this "Dravidian" rule, from 1967 to the present moment. A creamy layer from the SCs and STs is included in the network of corruption [ road contracts, public works contracts, other licences ] and patronage in appointments to government-controlled units. But the rural areas inhabited by Dalits are still pretty much neglected. No schools, no primary medical centres. Oh, you will see a statue of Ambedkar though. Finally, the wealth of some of these OBC families you can judge, if you come to any of the jewellery and silk saree shops in Chennai. The OBC families arrive in brand new "safari" vehicles and can make purchases for up to 5 or 6 lakhs of jewellery at a time. This must be the case in other provinces of India also, I presume. Some of these families are so wealthy, it is said, they have bought properties abroad and may have swiss bank accounts.

Though I am from OBC...Truely..I support your Observations and Even now, I am seeing more suppression and Cruelty for Dalits from OBC's in many villages.
There should not be any reservation for rich OBC,who buys Brand New Car and Jewellary at the expense of Poor boy from Brahmin or any other Farward Class.
I have also seen son's and daughters of SC/ST people, who are at the top of Govt Post, enjoying the benefits.
The Creamy layer exclusion should be applied to all Catagory, irrespective of whether OBC/SC/ST.

Dear Swaminathan, Glad that, what you have seen in your experience confirms my observations. There is a lot of good will amongst Indians, to help the down-trodden. But it must be done in a fair manner. Our politicians seem to do it with "election-motives". Yesterday, in a discussion on WIN T.V. one educated, medical doctor, a very articulate lady from OBC was saying, "We should review the RESULTS of our reservation programmes of the last 60 years." But three "fair-skinned men" [ I do not know which caste they were from ] did not accept her proposal, they kept arguing instead that the "creamy layer" should NOT be excluded. The chairperson also seem to agree with them. It is this type of unreasonableness, a hostile unreasonableness that frustrates people of all castes.
Ramdoss senior and his son junior is the new breed who does not know how to behave as he bought MBBS degree. .Instead of behaving in a responsible manner befitting a minister, he is letting his ego and stubbornness dictate his actions. He is wholly responsible for throwing the smooth working of AIIMS out of gear, thus in turn making the patients suffer. It's time that the UPA gets rid of this controversial minister. The Delhi HC directive to Ramdoss to sign the certificates of AIIMS students within 24 hours has come as a whip of fresh air to the harried students. It is perhaps unheard in the annals of a reputed institution like the AIIMS that the students are made to wait for a long time for want of Minister%u2019s signature. It is naked truth that the Minister and the Director of AIIMS Dr P Venugopal are at loggerheads. Need anybody stress that to keep the wheels of administration run smoothly, good ambience and congenial atmosphere is need of the hour? What is his next move. Surprisingly political parties in TN namely DK DMk PMK parties have produced only cheapppp and dirty politicians. Their leaders openly abuse Hindu community in newsmedia, garland hindu gods with chappals and take out procession, poison wells%u2026.countless atrocities

deepankar gupta has hit the nail on the OBC Politicians heads and OBC bearucrats heads. Lopesh Desai has given the boot to Ramdass Sr.and Jr. But Arjun singh deserves the garland that normally DK and DMK use for Gods. Cheap politicians. When will their breed go to hell??

Agreed. Let the Govt press ahead with 100% reservation for the mandal race and create the most reserved backward country, so that they can harp upon the duty towards the mandal race, be continously in power, beg and get more funds as the productivity will go through the drain, but their personal coffers swell, so that their dynasty will get educated abroad, come back take the mantle from their fathers (how apt, no body knows how many each one has!) and continue to loot without a cause but seemingly fight for a unexistent cause.

I believe you don't have clarity on the issue itself. Please go back and do your homework. Where did you get the Sang Parivar in from. While I am not a follower of Sang Parivar, I find it hilarious the way morons like you link it to everything. Reservations has no connection whatsoever with Sang parivar.
