But the saddastic part of all this cooked story is given Below. As Monday is followed by Tuesday and January is followed by February, Satyug is followed by Treta and this cycle continues endlessly. Or these, Kalyug has the shortest span of 4,32,000 years, Dwapar is double the years of Kalyug at 8,64,000 years, Treta is triple the years of Kalyug at 12,96,000 years and Satyug is four-times the years of Kalyug at 17,28,000 years. Thus one unit of four yugas is called Chaturyugi, having a total of 43,20,000 years."
which mentioned all the periods in lakhs of years, this data may help Steven Spielberg to make another Jurrasic Park, here each Yuga is mentioned in lakh of years, which is showing Fake-truth.

I know anti hindus will create baseless contriversies and try to prove it wrong, but if they have some mind they will ask themselves HOW COME ALL THE PLACES MENTIONED IN RAMAYAN STILL EXISTS TODAY? RAMAYAN WAS WRITTEN LONG BEFORE. THAT TIME HOW CAN SOME ONE GO AROUND ALL THE PLACES ON FOOT JUST TO WRITE THE STORY WITH SO MUCH ACCURACY?
All I am trying to say here is Hindu scluptures are very real and they actually happened in past.

If this is "Excellent work", its about time rediff gets someone new to write a column. This article is an example of how not to write a column in a news paper. a) most of the examples about Ramayan story spread out in other countries does not prove that Ram existed - it shows that the story had spread through different countries and its only around Asia where Buddhism has spread - could this be because of Asoka spreading buddhism?? something to think about
b)If we have to accept that Ram is after all a greak King who lived and ruled India - then is a King or God; mind you, you cannot have it both ways. If he is a King, since India is a democracy there is no need to bow to Kingship any more.
So, please get your perspectives straight and do some real research and think about what you want to achieve before writing contentious articles such as this. The only outcome of this article is to instigate responsible people into emotional debates on religion and faith, and that is some place we do not have to go.
I did Got something to learn from vedas from u which this Brahmin hide!!!! Thanks for the worthy knowledge... But I firmly beleive Religion should be only Inside religious wall while Goverment should be Law Enforcer and Scientific Thinker.. No role of religion inside Govt. Work

After a long time I am seeing a posting which is valid ,perfect and India's most needed.CASTE is a social evil which causes all the problem.If you ask me people are the real culprit not the politicians becoz they never fight for caste they do only for money.Our people will always vote for a wrong person just becoz of same caste,religion,language,regional etc.When they stop doing this things will be alright. if we fail to do this then even 10000 rams,jesus,allah can't save Indians.
It is well known than aryans are the north indians and rakshas are the south indians. South indians king is ravana who was in srilanka who also look dark.north indians consider themselves the learned one....aryans superior race and south indians being dark skinned are considered ravanas and killed. king Ram killed king ravana, means a north indian aryan king killed south indian dark skinned ravana and we are celebrating DIWALI. Is there anything wrong in my statement?

Dude - Just FYI - Ram is always shown in blue color(instaed of dark skinned) just to show some glory, and tht too only in modern days - as clearly written by the author, we are changing our history just to please the foreign ppl, who dont even have a li'l bit knwledge abt our culture. Even if we accept that Ram did born and walked on this earth, what does it prove. how does that make him the GOD.
Moreover, its more important to do research on Valmiki, instead of Ram. When was Valmiki born and how did he came to know about Ram in such great details, the author of the article himself accepts that Ram was born so far back that no evidence of his existance can survive the time, if that so then how come Valmiki got to know about it. Ramayana is not a small story, it is huge talking not only about Ram but many other charecters, how could valmiki gather this information unless it is a frigment of his imagination.
Valmiki did not write Ramayan, he NARRATED it ... he was alive during the time of Ramayan, in fact Ram's sons - Luv and Kush were born in his ashrama , the Sage Valmiki met Ram, Sita, Hanuman - all the characters ...
Plus the proof of ram is all over India in the form of geographically annotated places like Ayodhya, Chitrakoot, Kishkinda, Rameswaram ...
(even Ram Setu - you should refer to the report by Geological Survey of India, which was presented before Madras High Court and it ruled that Ram Setu was man-made, in the Supreme Court WITHOUT ANY EXCAVATIONS, the ASI said it was natural - thus the controversy - anyway, new excavations will take place and the truth will prevail)
But since these events took place 6500 years ago (yes, recent astronomical studies pin-point the exact dates) people started identifying these as mythology more than History !
do u know there is a great controversy whether Jesus was born on 1 AD or 4 AD (So the farther back u go, the more blurred the details become)
But that does not take away the historicity of Ramayan or Mahabharat!

i have done proper research ! Abraham never visited arabia - that was a lie told by muhammed to muslims to give mecca a jewish and prophetic tradition !
the kaaba has vikramaditya inscriptions , no mention of abraham in any pre-islamic mecca books (and there are many)

All I know is that Noah was born to live in this earth for approx 950 years (the rest if his family had equally long lives and never bothered to share their secret). I just forgot the exact date of Noah's birth, about which I am sure you can shed some light into. When exactly was Mohammed born? Date and time please? Birth certificate would also be a great help. And why this confusion about Jesus's birth month? December is too cold to have shepherds tending sheep outside, at night so he probably was born some other time.... blah blah? Come on it's just 2000 yrs ago so give us a proper date. 7AD? 8AD? Why isn't AD counted right after his birth? Ramayana is older than Jesus's granddad's generation so lets get finished with the recent history first.
Rama is called an avatar of God and hence God. And you can call Jesus God. Is there much difference between the son of God and God? This "how does this make Rama God" kinda talk is getting pathetic now. Everyone who doesnt have anything to say, starts with the same silly question. If you do not have anything new then don't waste time posting unnecessary material.

in brief, i had said that i would rather believe the 5114 BC date as it is very lucidly scientifically proven - taking this as base, other future events like ram;'s marriage horoscope, killing of ravana, ram becoming king - then concurring dynastic lineages all add up and proves the scientific evidence of Shri Ram

Hmmm... Followers of Ram exist today and hence proved ok... Followers of Christianity and Bible exist today hence Bible is true...Bible says Earth is around 6421 yrs old so that has to be true...Article itself confuses readers about Ram's birth time but 5114BC seems to be logical... but but earth is just 6421 yrs old, Now back calculate and it seems to be mathematically impossible... but but mathematics doesn't work in the religious world...hence proved that Ram existed. (P.S. Aliens also exist for sure because I know many people believe in them)
