Dynasty in politics is very dangerous for the country
by An Indian on Apr 14, 2008 12:20 PM  Permalink

Dynasty in politics is very dangerous for the country and for democracy, as it is worst than monarchy. Though I do not support any criminality, but it is definitely stimulating thoughts as to whether death or killing of dynasty, whatever it is, extremely good for political parties, good for country and overall best for the citizens of this country.

I would be grateful, if any learned reader can enhance my knowledge as to how many senior congress leaders were killed along with Rajeev Gandhi, as normally it is always a fierce competition to touch and stick like gum with Nehru Gandhi family members.

Come to your senses
by Prem Mohan on Apr 14, 2008 11:49 AM  Permalink

I am glad that Sharad Pawar has come to his senses. Sooner or later all Indians will realise that there is nothing better than the leadership of Mdm Sonia Gandhi and Mr Rahul Gandhi.

Dont blam Shard Pawar

I request all the readers not to blame Sharad Pawar. Poor guy, he has no idea what is happening with him and his party. He is very very busy with IPL. And the only thing in his mind nowdays is IPL IPL and IPL. So when somebody said that Rahul can be the next PM he said OK because he thought they are talking about Rahul Dravid.

You all are discussing wrong .. Pawar had a taste of power since long and now he knows that his party cant get votes to rule india or Maharashtra alone so they are ready to make any person PM even though against their party or their ideology sot hat they themselves remian in power.

Yeh sab power aur paisa ka kamaal hai .. otherwsie Pawar would have lost in the jungle of Maharsahtra where new players are emerging.

You are right. But Pawar is Agri Minister and what has he done for MH being from MH.
If you see Lalu is from Bihar, the first thing he did is increased the rail network in Bihar.
Our FM Chindamabaram is from TN, he has made sure that new developments are comming to TN.
Tell me one single instance/step taken by Pawar to improve the sorry state of poor indian farmers or for that matter even farmers from Maharashtra.

yeah we all saw what 6 yrs of BJP rule can do...prices started rising in their rule...people hating each other on caste and religion basis...india was burning...better to have congress than a bharat jalao party.

how do u know? are u doubting his political judgement? what experience u have in politics as compared to him? do u understand indian politics as good as pawar who has been there in the scene for more than 25 years? stop doubting each and every decision. NCP must be feeling secure with COngress leadership now which they were not 5 years back. So where is the problem unless you are biased with the bharat jalao party and each and every positive development in UPA makes u eat more sour grapes.

The basic reason for forming NCP was that, Sharad Pawar was against Sonia becoming PM, because she is not Indian. People appreciated his decision and voted for NCP. End of the day what you see is NCP supporting Sonia and cheating with all the voters.

mister, things can change in politics. BJP the so-called ideal party with a difference, tied up with amma in 1999 after speaking ill of her corruptive ways. do u agree they cheated their voter base too? why u look things from a negative angle. things are not black or white in indian politics or in any other field for that matter. there are lots of shades of grey. accept it u just can't fce it that there is more unity in UPA than 5 years back.

What congress and Mr. Sharar Pawar has done for India and MH. He is union Agri Minister and 90% of the farmer suicide cases are from MH. Rice, food, daal, aata, oil everything has more than doubled in last 4 years. If you call this a great performance then ??????

What is the direction ?
by MuraliKrishna Vemuri on Apr 14, 2008 09:20 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

If I remember correctly, it was the agenda of "We cannot support a foreign lady as prime minister of India" that apparently made Sharad Pawar to split Congress and start a "Nationalist" Congress Party.
Today NCP says it is ready to support Sonia Gandhi for prime minister's position. I am confused if Sonia all-of-a-sudden became "non-foreign" origin lady in the eyes of NCP? If so, can they explain their stand with proper logic?
I think our politicians better watch out the direction in which they are giving statements.

Then there is no need to have a seperate party now. Even if it happens regularly, it doesn't mean opportunism and shameless behaviour can be justified.

by mandook on Apr 14, 2008 08:50 AM  Permalink

Shame on Praful Patel for saying this. The former lied that she had the support of 272 MPs and the latter is an upstart. Where does NCP want to lead the country to? Are you forgetting the very reason for formation of NCP?
