by P. Mohapatrra, Director, U.T.S. P. Ltd. on Apr 13, 2008 08:22 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

All knows Biranchi Das is the godfather of Budhia, but Budhia and his mother are simply purchased with small amount and told against Biranchi Das. Now you see the result of helping a slum boy. And also see what is the position of Budhia, he is not imrproving furhter after he is against Biranchi Das.

dreaming sir, mr mohapatra's comments are very correct. notice that when budhia was initially being trained, there were no controversies. The controversy started long, long after budhia became famous. This obviously brings in a money angle. Lazy Indians want to earn money from others' hard work and not their own. So, people would have tried to have dealings wrt budhia. My guess is that biranchi das would not have accepted such offers - hence all such drama started. now, budhia is lost in oblivion. birnchi is now dead. money!!!

New Delhi: Biranchi Das, the coach who trained child prodigy and marathon runner Budhia Singh, was shot dead in Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on Sunday evening.

Das, a judo coach, was shot twice and died in a government hospital. Deputy Commissioner of Police Amitabh Thakur told CNN-IBN that Das was shot at when he was taking a judo class.

Thakur confirmed the killing had nothing to with Budhia. %u201CWe have already spoken to an eyewitness and zeroed in on the accused. We want to rule out the possibility of any link with Budhua. He was killed because of personal reasons.%u201D

Police said Das was killed around 1800 hours IST. However, no arrests have been made so far.

%u201CWe are finding out the details of the people who were present during the class. We have informed all senior officials and we are hopeful of arresting the culprits soon,%u201D Thakur said.

Meanwhile, Das%u2019 inconsolable wife told CNN-IBN, %u201CI am not in stable condition. We don%u2019t know what happened to him suddenly.%u201D

Das became famous because of his prot%uFFFDe Budhia, a slum kid who entered record books when ran for 65 km from Puri to Bhubaneswar in 2006.

The fame soon turned into infamy when in August 2007 Budhia accused Das of torturing him and filed a police complaint against. Das spent a few days in judicial custody after Budhia%u2019s complaint.

Budhia got a new coach in September 2007.

How Mr.Thakur can confirm Budhia's involvemnet is not there. They must arrest Budhia's mother first and must cross check, because she was the main person who told so many things against Biranchi Das. So she must be INTERROGATED first.

What the heck...

What the heck is happening to our country if things like this keep happening often without provocation?

Look at incidents in Delhi, Noida, Gurgoan, now Orissa... looks like the whole country is in some kind of violence plague. It's sickening and terrible. Wonder what our (elected?) politicians are doing? Sleeping as usual.

A person who wanted to make a street child be a famous sports person in the world is shot dead at his residence. This is probably the worst news can happen to him after poltical people who were dragging him in various controversies including physical harassment to Budhia.

I am really shocked and feeling very bad that why we can't save a good human being in our country, and always dragging him till he persihed.

May god give peace to his soul and I am praying to God who are involved in this tragic incident, should get severe punishment in front all of us.

It's really sad..

The Coach was not Bad.
He did everythig for the street child who had been slod by his mother to another person. What they say torture, was perhaps the reflections of a high ambition by Biranchi that he tried to realize through the kid.

When the kid attained some fame, it was his mother's crooked mind that wanted him to be freed from Biranchi. Now his mother has enough to eat (thanks to Biranchi for bringing this kid out of darkness, and the govt followed) so didnt care to become ungrateful. The kid was also brainwashed and repeated what his mother wanted him to say.

I dont feel the kid's story has got anything to do with Biranchi's killing. Both topics may not be related. I am sure there is some other deeper conspiracy behind it.
