Good decision by India. Why should we go out of our way to please the Chinese? No doubt, we should protect the torch, but the Tibetians have the right to protest. Ours is a free society unlike China.
As for the West Bengal decision to ban protests, what else you can expect from the Communists?

I thought the law as made by central government, and all states have to abide by it. Not that ever state has its own law, No wonder the law and order in India is a mess. No one know what is right and what is wrong, What is right in one state s wrong in another. What a farce.
