About America ..
by JaiHanumaan on Apr 13, 2008 01:12 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

With All due respect, west is a very stifled society, under the iron hand of law and corporate power(tyrannies). Democracy is a sham in America. People in US debates take very calculated positions with fear of jeopardizing their economic control over people. Its a very artificial controlled society.

It is not taught even in american universities that america is a democracy. It is america who can learn from indian socialist(still) democracy to loosen up a bit and have some real democracy.

Indians have become more materialistic since 1991 when rajiv gandhi was killed and narasimha
rao government took the credit for starting economic reforms.

Movements in indian thought are coming from southern india, because they have embraced the western/american style capitalism and there is literally no challenge to them, they are running away with the cake.

I pray to the almighty that a current to counter this current be born in northern hindu india setup, to quiten the forces unleashed from southern eliet establishments and their american freinds.

North is loosing out with this deluge of capital from foreign lands from secular elites forming alliances with west. They just have name of GOD
and their ancient faith to stick tightly to, on this modern day assault by secular, rich, psudos , english educated, of this economic whirlwind which is engulfing the simple people of faith of india.

Strangest part is NO ONE , is calling out this big elephant in the room(nation called india).

There is a defeaning quiteness of representation
of that other india which isnot moral and
representational participant in this phenomenon.

A nation has lost a part of its soul!
Even the minorities, even muslims have a wry
glee in there smile to have shaken hands with indian secular elites in siding with amricans,
because they know someone is loosing out(their
archenemy the religious right of india)!

Its politics and pretense of human nature at
its best!

None of these were Brahmins.

Read their biographies.

All these Great people were raised & backed by Brahmins and Brahmin Environment....

And Brahmins never claimed that they have done a Great Job.

Unless the BC and MBC make up the mind to come in support of the Upper layer (FC) and the Lower layer (SC/ST) community this situation is not going to change. Because as this section of the people are politically active and unless they welcome the Upper layer (FC) and the Lower layer (SC/ST) society; I dont think this social condition is going to improve. Along with power the BC and MBC section of people are enjoying the wealth as well. And these people are the policy makers for centuries and they dont want them to change this social setting for personal and social benefits and the Vision and thoughts of the GOOD has never been met.

When the Western countries can manage to bring in people from different race together and also make them live in a harmony why cant we achieve it. But one thing is for sure, there is NO POLITICAL WILL to make this happen like any other developmental activities in our country from Roads, Infrastructure, Clean Drinking Water and what not. Todays Politicians are not ready to take up any work that doesnt benefit them directly or indirectly. There is completely no national interest among the politicians and India is moving forward only on the struggle the Individuals put to make their life look better. Politicians should never take any credit for the growth being seen in India.

Regards
Vandhe Matharam

So if you ask me, that was history and we should not be drawing parallels to those social structures to the current society we live in. Now everybody is doing everything and to make Money and a Living. But we should understand that everyone in the community is important and treat everyone equal with respect and in terms what they contribute to the wellness of the society. The message is that, all the different communities should work together in harmony as the human body parts do to make the India and the society function effectively.

The most important factors for these differences continue to exist is because of the BC and MBC/OBC section of people and these people are higher in number/percentage in terms of nations population and are trying to enjoy all the benefits from the society. The so called Upper layer (FC) and the Lower layer (SC/ST) are facing the heat and difficulty like a sandwich on the grill. If you ask me, the different sections of the Indian society should be just divided into two categories purely on the Economic status/Salary or Wages earned, which based on the Individuals Income along with Geographical Region. This will help India move towards Perfect Indian Union

Head %u2013 Is where the though process evolve, So similar to that there is a society of people who were involved in tasks and challenges that were related to Brain activity such as accounting, planning, strategic thinking, law. If you want to map this functioning to Brahmins, sure go ahead. I would say there are other communities that were part of it too then, but might have forgotten the social representation now.

Chest or the Upper Body %u2013 Like how the upper body protests the inner organs, which is critical and need to be protected, (Same holds good for the society) the Chatriyas/Kshatriyas were responsible for protecting the society and hence the mapping.

Hands %u2013 Without hands we cannot Make things or possible. All the crafts that are being made and the food being cooked are with the help of hands. So there was a section of people (Vaisyas) who where part of this society who made things possible and were the portrayed as Makers and hence mapped to Hands.

And finally Legs or Foot %u2013 Without legs and foot we cannot move around. And there was a section of people and society who where providing the service that kept the society moving as the Legs do. And more obviously the Legs are the ones that will get dirty quickly. So I believe those are the people Sudras and Harijans who were doing the odd jobs to make the society moving forward and hence mapping under this category.

In fact the documentation from the Vedic scripts about the four classifications was nothing different than an Organizational Structure what we see it todays modern Business units but was applied at the Country/Social Level into four sections. This is because in the past one community was serving the other, in short the one type of service is always provided to the rest of the community, and the service benefits the others. None of these services were charged because the service and the commodity were traded and not the Money. But in todays economics and trade and service culture around the world it is completely different and everything is purely based on Money, Money and Money.

Another point I would like to bring out is the references of the old scripts and a mapping of the different Community to Brahma the creators body parts and who came from where, 1. The Brahmins came from Head, 2. Vaisyas came from Hands, 3. Chatriyas/Kshatriyas came from the Chest or the upper body and 4. The Sudras came from the foot or the legs. But if you look at a human Body and its functioning, you will realize how the ancient script has been misinterpreted. For a human to function properly, he/she needs all these parts. Like wise for a society to sustain and work in harmony we need all these parts. I feel the underlying meaning is something like this%u2026

It is like%u2026 The same wine but in a new bottle situation. So who is responsible for this, Is it one community that is making the rules? Who is powerful enough to do all these? The blame should not be on the people who dont have the Money or Power. Let us see who is responsible for all these mess! No one has thought out of the box to do something differently for the community.

If we see this Social Sections in detail you will understand that there are several sub sections with in each section. And it is the people who decide where and how they want to be place themselves with-in this four brackets by trying to cook-up papers for proof and to gain some government provided benefits in terms of education and job. The same kind of confusion is there with in the Christian and Muslim community and they are confused on how their community people should be alighted themselves into these four categories (FC, BC, MBC/OBC, SC/ST) and there are confusions and negligences in the race against time.

If our politicians continue to divide the People India in terms of (FC, BC, MBC/OBC, SC/ST) for political mileage then there is no way people are going to forget the four classification found on the old but to be treasured Vedic text and we are going to fight for ever; killing and harassing our own country man. These kinds of incidence are high especially in rural areas than in large Towns and Cities. Education is the key and hope that will enlighten the nation.

Every now and then we claim that we are the people of a great civilization going back 5000 years into the history. But unfortunately we are not behaving or acting gracefully as a one tribe with evolved and matured thoughts which we all believe will happen over the years. But it is often disturbing and I have felt that we are going back in time to the Stone Age, when SC/SC communities are being targeted and attacked.

I really don%u2019t know when who defined the four sections of the community as we know now like (Traditional society is loosely ranked into four Varnas (social classes)) Brahmin (priests), Chatriyas/Kshatriyas (nobles and warriors), Vaisyas (traders and farmers), and Sudras (servants) from the old Vedic scripts. But I strongly believe that we are still following the same hierarchy of organizing the %u2018People%u2019 of the current Indian geography. All we have is a new set name for the same like...

All forwards = %u2018Brahmins/other forward communities%u2019
All Backward (BC and MBC/OBC) = %u2018Vaisyas%u2019 or %u2018Chatriyas/ Kshatriyas%u2019 or %u2018Sudras%u2019 which has its own sub section(s) in it.
All SC/ST = %u2018Harijan (untouchables)%u2019

The framers of the Indian Constitution did not visualise the present situation of power politics and the havoc it could play by dividing people on reasons of caste or creed. They only referred to the oneness of the nation and collectively called"we the people"That Indian society WAS divided on various counts of race, religion, caste and creed is an undeniable fact. But the same old situation does not exist even now.The oppressed and downtroddens' lives stand improved a lot-thanks to the continous reservations given so far.In fact,it is time for tappering the reservations slowly in tune with the improvement and betterment of the one time underprivilged who are almost brought on par with the other class.Objectively speaking, even the reserved categories feel happy for the changes brought in their lives. It is these politicians who want to keep the issues and problems alive forever to gain political advantage and ensure their continuance or recapture of the power.Otherwise, where is the need for prescription of columns like-religion or caste in the applications for admissions into govt insitutions or for govt jobs?It is the politicians who remind people of their religion or caste to create rifts among themselves, see the fun and enjoy.Nowhere in the world does any govt prescribe such pernicious columns. There are only two classes in the world-"haves" and "have nots" and nothing else. The panacea lies in taking care of the "havenots" irrespective of extraneous factors like caste.

Secular was not a part of the preamble when it was first written but added later by a constitutional amendment.
