Politicians have little to cheer. The SC' verdict has included all children of MLAs, MPs under creamy layer category and had excluded them from the purview of OBC quota..To have more clarity on this pl read KK Venugopal's briefing on SC's verdict appeared in yeasteday' rediff news. The Politicians like RAMADOSS are now hell bent to circumvent this ,by applying all their political pressures on this weakest GOVT headed by Dr Singh.It is quite suprising to note that even people like D.Gowde now advocates to exclude the advanced sections among the OBC to give room for the really needy among them. Look at Dr Ramadoss's family .They are all convent educated super high class families in TAMIL NADU both interms of education and affluence..His protest againt exclusion of creamy layer is nothing but exposition of sheer selfishness. OBC's are most castist and racist people, on one hand they oppress brahmins , terrorise banias and on other hands they oppress SC/ST's to dead end. They dont deserve anything.
I am proud to be a brahmin. I am a proud bramhin. I am proud of our culture.Reservations may come and go, but it makes more and more stronger and gives the will power to perform better. You people may take away our seats, you cannot take away our talent and intelligence. We are proud Brahmins.
how do u measure backwardness? is there any measure for that? what is the unit of it? how do u decide is one is backward? by caste? then let SC/ST and OBCs enjoy reservations for centuries to come. and forget about india being a superpower.

As a result of being snotty and stcuk up and ultra-conservative..
Many years back in UP, there was a group of Brahmins who took to agriculture...the conservative Brahmins who went according to scriptures and practices, resenetd this and outcasted those Brahmins who took to tilling the land...
These Brahmins then responded by taking to agriculure with a vengeance and established a different identity for themselves and called themselves Bhumihars...
Today, nobody cares a rat A%^& about the Congress in UP....even these Bhumihars today, either vote for the BJP or the SP and some exceptional cases actually vote for the BSP.....
The loss of the Brahmins is the gain of the BJP and SP.....hot headed self righteousness can be self defeating...
it is the non brahminical feudal communities which are against backward castes and schedule castes brahmins always strove for an egalitarian society but non brahminical feudal castes resisted it.

I respect some great brahmins, but brahmin is always by birth, and quality of father is never guaranteed in son/daughters. then how can all brahmins claim they are great? this is the root cause hating brahmin.

One cann't be goo or bad by birth only.It is not about what we presently are.. we must focus on what we want our society to be like.Reservations like these are crime against all humanity.How can you give reference of the politically motivated bills like this to justify your stand?
Cudos to Arjun for splindid job. He managed to creat room for weaker section of the society inside IIT & IIM its great achievement to break Brahmin & Baniya monopoly and myth of branding these Institutions which are not actually doing well in terms of producing Nobal Laurates and Scholars. THey have done nothing in science and Technology research in last 40 years and just kept harping on commercial gimmick to brand as premier institute without any major contribution in the field of science and technology at world scale. Universities afiliated to the University Grant Commission has at least produced world class scientist who win Nobal Prices were ignored due to IIT & IIM strategy to brand them as marketleader where as they did nothing significant as compare to the Universities afiliated to the UGC. UGC has performed much better than IIT & IIM and majority of graduates working overseas are belongs to UGC afiliated Universities and not IIT or IIM this is truth but bogus publicity through stratagic branding which does require great evaluation of cridibility of these institutions were in forefront totake credit for the work done by University operating under UGC control.

First of all I am only Bhajiya not Bhaiya. Show some respect to my name. I am not SC/ST/OBC or any Brahmin/Baniya/Muslim/Christien. I don't want and never being favoured because in life no body favours any body even this reservation too not beneficial to real needy is fact more manipulation and craft will be in play to deprive these people we know what is India and how they run nation.

Private Companies and MNCs will prefer non-OBC-non-IIT to OBC-IIT! So Arjun singh will force reservation on Private companies also, there by driving them out of India!! Congrats to Arjun!!!

the reason there is no research in IITs is because of a chicken and egg problem. Good research doesn't happen in IITs because there are no good PHd students. Good Phd students don't go to IITs because there is no good research. Research in technology doesn't come cheap and he govt doesn't want to fund research and it doesn't want FDI in education and it doesn't want to pay the faculty well enough. The days when a single brilliant discovery in Physics could win you the nobel prize are over. Look at all the winners in the past several years...most of them are of inventions ... that take money and time .. and not for theories. It takes decades for an institution to build a reputation in research and the IITs frankly dont seem to be on that path.

Universities afiliated to the UGC have done great service to the nation and society at large. Why people are making IIT & IIM as something extra ordinary whare as fact is they did nothing in last 40 years except producing Brahmin and Baniya 80 % graduates from these institutes you check their list of graduates. The same people after becoming CEO of Indian companies promoted IIT & IIM Monopoly into private sector as premier Indtitute to favour their upper caste candidates is conspiracy and well organised and planned strategy. IIT & IIM fall victim of their own stratagy because of market preference become coveted destination for every one. Where as all serious simple graduates from all UGC afiliated Universities silently migrated abroad for advance research and working as well as promoting their business become more in number of succesful Indians abroad as compare to IIM & IIT graduates
