yeah, thats the real irony of the situation, if religion uplifts these people, and lets them free from the opression, why then demand reservation for the converted people ?

who bothers abt arjun singh. point is that christians explicitly want the dalits to be excluded from caste and escape that tyranny, if they still want the caste tag to remain - it just means that they want to have the cake and eat it too. they want double benefit of bringing new members into their fold (monetary rewards are rich once the member starts contributing) and the new member gets his quota too! thats cool!
At last a small action has been taken against the biggest social crime in the world viz;our caste system, by the present government.We still need to go a long way in eradicating this evil system from the minds of the upper castes.Schools should have a subject on the attrocities committed by the upper castes in the past and how the caste system is ruining India even now by keeping the majority of the population suppressed by a minority( the upper castes)

there are vast stretches of land where brahmins arent around and others are harassing the "lower castes" probably they should be treated as the oppressors too.
a simple law to equality would solve all this problem. if someone says he's been insulted as lower caste file a case. when reservation is implemented - it enforces that the lower class is really supposed to be "lower".

DO even know the plight of the people enteing institutions through these reservation schemes... most of them are taunted upon and remain segregated for the most part of their studies.
I am not against reservations... but surely against reservation based on the a person's caste. If at all there should be any reservation.. it should be based upon a person's merit and the economic strata the person belongs.
Rather such reservation invokes the caste system among the youth of the 21st century... I first questioned about my caste when i filled up the first engineering form,.... before that such a system was not a bothering part of my life.

It is all a concocted story. No upper caste did any atrocities on backward caste. It was backward caste which did and still doing atrocities on Dalits

how much ever u do this will benefit only those in the upper limits!the basis of this reservation is wrong an dthings should be cleared from the grass rooy level not by opening the skies!
Only Congress has the Guts to reserve jobs in private Sector... Brahmin Jokers Party will not implement reservation... BJP is best to fool people using Hindutva... While Congress will surely reserve jobs in Private Sector
