Today if I point a finger and say out loud - "You are part of a backward caste", its offending but getting a seat in a college on the same grounds isn't. Well I would say asking for reservation on the basis of caste is like asking a slap in your own face. Reservation is required for those who work and study hard but cannot afford the fees. People talk about abolishing the caste system and modernization but hold back when benefits like these are available. If changing castes were possible, OBC would be the most sought after caste and i'll try hard to change my so called Brahmin caste to OBC! After all who cares, I get the seat for having done nothing!!

hey by the way JATS are not OBC, LABANA community and SAINI community of sikhs belongs to OBC. and yes i truly agree with you that they do not need OBC reservation and maximum of them don't even use it and the new generation doesn't even know that they are OBC. the "LABANA" community is one of the most wealthy people in sikh religion and in india. and ofcourse if you are against Reservation for OBC, you should be also against dalits reservation quota. i believe the reservation should be on povety basis not on the any caste basis. and only consider OBC reservation is wrong, is also wrong thing.
