the scenary suggested appears ridiculous and unsubstantiated ... let us wish each of the category of student population to avail and make the best of the facilities at elite institutions and rise in equal force to the demands of the nation.. even after studying at these elite institutions, we find a high level of brain drain after draining the funds of our own country (which is contributed by the honest tax payers across various populations spectrum .. there is nothing great difference in a brain drain before the admissions, who not likes serving this country, we cannot stop the drain before or after the course completion., as well as deserving students get the taste of the flavour of quailty education... may be the truth is little bitter but future will tell the difference and uplifting quailty .. best wishes to al and one of the students.. in every category

Good decision. I am a long term investor. I am going to give my status SC/ST staus somehow..either going to get married to a SC/ST girl (giving ad in TOI), hire a lawyer get some law in that favor so that they could go to IIM at 96percentile which I couldn't. My beta/i will make my sapna poora..being optimistic i think by 2030 when my beta/i is 21 yrs it would be atleast 95% category based reservations..Dad Why you did this to me?

Mohan "DAS" tere ko lagta hai reservation mila hai. lottery khul gayi teri to. Anyway I guess OBC candidates are not bad in studies so I don't think its a real problem anyway.

Good for OBC, bad for FC, bec good OBCs first get a major part of open quota, then the 27% exclusively for themselves. FCs may get squeezed out to get only 10% of seats totally, above 99 percentile, OBCs getting 50% above 95 percentile. Private colleges will get more of the brilliant FCs, until the govt chases them from there also, perhaps to study in Singapoor or Australia!

even after studying in the elite instituions after completing IIM or IIT, many of all category are just catching the next flight beyond Indian borders, after draining all the local resources and enriching for onward journey, as well even the studies can happen abroad so the flight will be nearer to the destination point than crossing the Bay ofBengal or Arabian Sea /Atlantic Ocean !! brain drain before local education is more preferable as more deserving non-draining candidates will stand a fair chance ....

my dear friend Amitabh Das , apart from personal remarks, basically here is a faithful citizen of India who acquired qualification thanks to Almighty and my country's educational system and my parental conscience support, that was my major trump card to gain stature in life, by the way, every step in my career was brought in my pure merit not on the banks of any reservations, i also wish all the citizen-my fellow country students gain in their lives with all the best resources and rise in life and stature in their own EYES first and the society... that is a positive thought i wish to share in this forum.. there is certainly no room for any hurting or running down statements.. surely with my godblessed qualification and tech skills, i might as well have been part of the 'so called brain drain' but this soul is totally destined to serve our own and my own countrymen to the best of gained skills and knowledge... Jai Hind Mera Bharat Zaroor Mahaan Hamesha !!
