Govt.has apportunity to do above now.If we do not need merit for all these high profile jobs we can certainly do away with merit in Judiciary as well.So come on Congress do it now you will win next election with 2/3 majority and Rahul Gandhi as PM.

All IIM and IIT Directors should Resign
by RAKESH DOGRA on Apr 10, 2008 04:21 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

When MM Joshi of BJP reduced fee of IIM's then directors of these institutes supported by Congress made lot of hue and cry saying that reduction of fee by HRD Minister was attack on the autoniomy of these institutes. Now what these directors have to say.
Now 27% students they are forced to take in their institutes who will get admission because they belong to some cast. They wil have to give admission to these OBC students who would have been rejected if they belonged to General catagory.
Is Autonomy of these institutes intact now?

Quota
by PRABHAKARAN THEKKINEDATH NAIR on Apr 10, 2008 04:16 PM  Permalink

Yeaa. keep them everywhere. In army, navy, air force and in all institutions and whereever u can. They can be divers, no need to know swimming, doctors, BSc will be enough. They can be considered for District Collectors and Secretaries without an IAS, but with BA. Do not forget to put them as pilots in Indian flights (they need no licence to fly) and let Ministers like Arjun Singh travel on that. Then India will will have a bright future in another 5-10 years clearing all these seasonal politicians.

You are right Mr Prabhakaran,
and also better to implement in sports like Indian Cricket and in Indian Army.

Most of the Kashmir already donated to Pakistan and China by some selfish Political leaders (No need to say names please).

Now it is time to devide country caste based.

Foolish leaders................

How about scores in the disciplines?
by calmer on Apr 10, 2008 04:13 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Admission on "reservation" - ok, if that is what Supreme Court rules correct. But what if the "reserved" guyes are not able to achieve the minimum standards? IIM/IIT courses are no joke, one has to really strive and struggle. May be the higher court will come to their help again and "reserve" marks/grades too, thus assist them in getting govt jobs, but who will actually end up doing the real 'jobs'?

Give me a break. IIM course is not as strenuous and can easily be passed at least. And what is the real job does an IIM MBA does- Selling napkins/surf/pepsi/software products. If these real jobs can not be done by a non-IIM guy, then you must be joking

IIPM is the best
by amit mishra on Apr 10, 2008 04:11 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Yeah we should get education in globally renowned educational institute, IIPM. Why even look at inferior IIMs. anyways last five years all the students who have got admission into IIPM have rejected offers from IIMs. Speaks volumes of other alternative MBA course providers credence

Thx mate. anyways, those who can not dare to think beyond IIM's are not worth IIPM. Anyways, IIPM students get plush job offers from consultancies (owned by Arindam) doing cutting edge jobs as against IIMs whose students do munade jobs.

Thanks dude, for the enlightenment... Dont use loaded words for institutions which aren't worth getting into. Dont misguide people by such baseless facts. If you love ur institute, thats great but that doesnt allow you to make such remarks.

Why IIM Why not Foreign University
by Bhajiya on Apr 10, 2008 04:05 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Cost of education for any foreign university and IIM are almost same and moreover foreign universities are offering more credible and international acredited education. Foreign University Degree is valid Western Countries and can work and reside overseas offer better option thatn IIM. WHY IIM and IIT then. Its doing nothing and have done nothing in the field of science and technology reseach. THis is foolishness if we cannot see beyond IIM & IIT. In last 40 years of its existance not sinel Nobal Prize Nominee come out of this Institutes forget about Nobal Prize WInning that show the standard of this education institution which aclaimed to be the best in India is merely eating people's money and Corporate House Money by placing new inexperience candidates on high positions without measuring the return on investment as well as their deliverables which generate reenue for these Corporates Houses. How they justify such heavy salaies to new fresh Graduates is farce. Its Global phenominon to eat public money and investors money in the name of something illeogical and irrelevent. Indian Corporate Houses,Education Institutions are just playing same game to eat indian economy without delievering anything to the society at large. This is greatest example how they functions and make capital of nothing. They literally have noting proved so far no contribution to the scientific and technical field which is their prime objective.

#1 -- You don't need to keep your whole message as the subject.
#2 -- You have started poll campaigning too early.
#3 -- You are tackling the wrong party. The main opponent to communists, in the states where they can witn is Congress, not BJP
#4 -- You're campaigning at the wrong place. Not many ppl on this message board actually vote.
