The SC has done a commendable job in supporting the reservation for OBCs in institutions of higher learning. It is a step in the right direction since our country is still plagued by socially discrimination, and only such affirmative actions can pull out sizeable sections of the Indian society from the exclusion in education and employment. Merit is not absolute in everything, particularly when there is no fairplay among the stakeholders; there has to be some room for those who have been disadvantaged for long to find a place to move ahead in life. And a responsible nation has every duty to bring the benefit of development to all sections of the society. India should ensure justice to all its citizens. And this is move in that direction and I welcome it.
This is just tactics of Congress to have an upper edge in elections since they know well that they can not control inflation(which would have enraged lot of low income families by now) which will deter their comeback after next elections.

No .. why to purchase ... BJP will/should genuinoly this agenda otherwise it will be sure that they will not get votes of OBC if they go aginst it ... So no need to purchase .. Infact all political parties will support this reservation ... Sab ek jaise hai jab vote ki baat aati hai toh ...

what a discovery ... Aree vikram its the known fact .. law is in the hand of sonia only .. Remember how sanjay dutt got the bail on non-bilable warrant .. its all cos of sonia ....
wouldn't it be nice if they create a separate state called BEKAR and put all guys in it who needed reservation. give them 100% reservation but only in that state..in fact make them all Presidents and PMs of that state..

Manusmriti already divided India into 4 varna each has many castes. So it is good if SC has reduce them into ony two.
some "INTELLECTUAL" people argues that reservation will depreive the oppurtunities for general one.... Read the legislature carefully and with open mind It states that there will not be any affect on general quota seats as the govt is going to implement this OBC quota in phases and also by that time they are going to increase the seats, infra and profs of the premiere institutes. So there will not be any setback for "General" category.
Moreover, according to SC creamy layers are not supposed to be included in this reservation quota..So it is very much possible that only those people who have been depreived from there right for several centuries and are poor can get atleast a chance to come to mainstream.
Also, My friends Even in US like country there is reservation based on race even it is a developed country So, dont get panick.
Even dont poke your nose in US and other countries reservation structure... In Our country itself Tamilnadu gives reservation of 54% (although its against constitution )to Muslim SC/ST and OBC. Still TN is on average at 5th rank among all indian states(based on infra health investment literacy etc)
