My son studies in class ix th std. He has a desire to get admission in IIT. Till date I have taught him we are all Indians and are equal. Toady I have to tell him that we are first upper caste & others are OBC,SC & ST who have first preference to get admission & all Indians are not equal.
I have to teach him we are 2nd class citizens in our own motherland.

Very true! This new verdict of SC made India the 'Top Racist' country in the world. And we, belonging to the so-called 'upper cast' of the society, are now the victims of this naked racism. Being an IIT alumnus I am now worried about the future of the institute, and feel sorry for those innocent souls (like your son) who aspire to become an IITan one day. Nowhere in the world can one find such wonderful paradigm of compromising with the quality! Churchill's saying proved correct -- the power has indeed gone to the hands of the rascals! And we'll have to pay for it now....

RE:ALL THOSE 27 PC OBC STUDENTS WILL NOT PASS OUT OF IIT..

dont worry........buddy...... if this trend continues then in a few yrs...... they will amend the constitution to pass out at least 75% SC, ST & OBC students.... that time will come... have patience.
The spirit of democracy and social justice demanded proportionate representation to each socially identifiable group of the society. The injustice of more than 5000 years old has been set right. Hats off to the political parties and the justice loving citizens of India.

You are right. Those who oppose reservation should understand that in India, as per the study, the more one is meritorious the more one is corrupt. See the list of scamesters, Harshad Mehta, Ketan Parekh, Jain Hawala people, Tehelka exposed politicians and babus and so on. Compartively, Laloo\'s case is dwarf before these. In this case too people like Jagannath Mishra is in the forefront.
The supreme court verdict punctured the mood at the BJP and JD(S) party offices which wore a deserted look. The feeling of lost the battle even before the first vote has been cast
50% of people in Rural Areas in India are worry about their two time meals, from either casts can not send their childrens to school because of no money to servive... Are they going to take even 0.1% of the benefit from this system... any one plz tell.....
