Providing reservations to the so called 'Other Backward Classes' after more than 60 years of independence bears enough testimony of a failed State or of the failed governments.
Why r these people hiding their inability of competency under cover of all illogical craps. Ok guys u people tell me...is this logical to get papa reservation, then son..then his son..n so on. n then also the family is "suppressed"?? Why not even a single person of OBC/SC/ST says that ok...just one reservation in a family wld do n that too..just in education. Why do u want to take revenge for things happened in history?As far as suppression is concerned.....british suppressed us..if u have read history....y not taking revenge with them?? Thats y b'coz u cannot do that?but u can easily take reservation here....so plz dont hide ur true colours by all kind of craps..!! n y dont u people of reserved class try one thing....next time u or ne of urs family member fall seriously ill or get some weird neurological / cardiac..etc kind of problem....then y not trying ur reserved buddies for medical treatment....?? they r doctors too.....I think that time this revenge from general class wont come in way for getting the treatment from same general category doctor..!! Thats problem dear...!! accept the truth... so now do not reply me with the again whole crap story of urs..!!

Creamy layer is excluded. While putting the entire judgment in perspective Venugopal said, "This balanced judgment has scaled down the huge volume of OBC to the core level of OBC. This judgment has upheld the economic criteria of 1993 depriving large number of members of OBC from benefiting from reservation. It is a serious setback to the government who wanted to fill up prestigious institutes with OBC quotas. Today's judgment has kept graduation as the 'cut-off' point that will reduce the numbers of beneficiaries of OBC reservation."

What a marvelous analysis of Hon'ble SC's verdict no doubt it can come form a DESI from usa (dallastx), thanks buddy for spelling your some garbage from your gray cell area, which is over burdened from it.
I'm in favor of the judgment. Basically there are two arguments in this case: A) Are reservations needed? B) Who should get the reservations if they are needed?
For the first argument, I think India needs reservations. This is a country where rich gets richer and poor gets poorer and we need a balanced society and reservations brings that balancing act and helps the disadvantaged to be part of the future success story.
I think the second argument is critical since we want to get over the cast system and yet we want to base our reservation on cast system. But the point to remember is the cast system is prevalent even though we want to get over it. For the time being forget about the politics and vote bank arguments and take your own random sample and see who is advantaged and who is not. BTW, the definition of advantage is the one with enough wealth, job, education, better life and better life expectancy. Also make sure than the sample has 70% BC/SC/ST representation as that's the national/statewide representation. You will not be surprised by the result. The disadvantaged are the BC, SC and ST and we as a nation owe them.
Forget about past. If we want India to grow, it requires all Indian to grow. This means those who have no access or limited access to opportunity to grow should be provided a fair chance. A student belonging to a hitherto Backward class, if supported by all, shall bring to help his entire immediate community (Caste,village, etc) on a progressive path. If we look at reservation with patriotic perspective, we find it justified. If we look at it in terms of individual gain and loss we lose the real context.

Who ever enters in an institution based on reservation must wear of 1 by 1 plate tag on their chest proclaiming that he didn't enter on the merit, but based on reservation. They should also list their Jaat so we atleast know the backwardness of the Jaat... If their leader wants to eat fish and not learn how to fish for themselves, we should charge for their self-respect. According to our constitution put down by a dalit, Reservation were to last only for 10 yrs.. It has been 60 yrs since our independence, but castiest, and secular politicians keep adding these reservation in order to corner their respective vote bank.. Democracy has proven to be a curse on India...

Even after 61 years we are still carrying on with what was meant for 10 years! Reservation has become a way of the bloody incompetents to get plump jobs without any accountability. Why not limit reservation to education? Strengthen basic education infrastructure and leave the higher education and government jobs only for people who has the merit for it.
Congress is preparing for Election - That is what this is al about. They have ruined the country.
