This is blatant bribing of the people to win the votes. Its an even bigger sin than bribing because they are using hard working taxpayer's money to bribe the poor and win the elections. The money could have been better used for development works and generate more employment. It will put a lot of burden on the economy and hamper development. What next? Laptops, cars and bikes for the poor?
If the same money is spent on vocational training. People would become more relient. Help improve productive. Help improve national income. Understand concepts of family planning.
I think indians are corrupt by blood and want bribes at every level. What a shame what a shame

1. there is already a system called "ration" that gives rice at subsidized prices. 2. there is no need for color tv. it is not the requirement of the day 3. Rs1200 for unemployed youths who passed atleast 10th. Are you kidding me? 4. loan waivers should be based on valid reasons like crop destruction or calamity.
As stupid as it sounds I am glad that this subsidised TV and Rice is not just for Dalits or vote banks only, it might be a good idea if implemented in the right way. If its a trick to get votes. i think the political parties have to think of something new
I am not surprised by this announcement as the party is headed by someone who doesnot know anything than TV. In INDIA we need to reduce corruption, control population, reduce pollution, and congress is talking about entertainment.
