Tibet is China's Kashmir??
by Mathew Jacob on Apr 08, 2008 05:28 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

If we support Tibet's cause against China, then why do we have a problem in China supporting Pakistan when it comes to Kashmir? Let us not have double standards. Tibet is China's problem and let's leave it at that. Human rights violation is a very convenient term used for convenient reasons.

How do you equate "China supporting Pakistan - militarily" with "India supporting Tibet - emotionally"?
Let that be an internal issue of China, but supporting Tibet's people for their peaceful existence is not a sin. Raising voice for depressed/oppressed people is not a sin by any way.
Where is the double standard? Is India supplying arms to terrorists or sending terrorists across the border like Pakistan is doing?

Militarily or emotionally, support in any form becomes a support. I will never label Tibetans as terrorists. Both are basically separatist movements when you view it from either China's or India's respective points of view. And besides, when "peace-loving" people go on rampages and get out on the streets to fight with the law-enforcers of your host country, you are not doing much good to your cause.

The communists like you are already a part of black present today and will be part of history when people will spit on your name. In same way, the countries once under USSR control like east-Germany, Poland, Finland, Lithuania etc.. do today.

Is this the last Olympic torch relay?
by Gurudutt kamath on Apr 08, 2008 04:00 PM  Permalink

The flame is the olampic spirit. Disrespect to the flame tntamounts to disrespecting the olampic spirit. Hence, no one should do such things that bring in disgrace to the olampic spirit, the host coutry image and the perpetrators.

Because there is NO massacre! lol. by the way, the whole world is what? would you be so kind as to give me the links to articles or protests that are NOT orchestrated and participated by a few Tibetans/white skinheads? Talkiing the world huh? Oh, I always forgot to add that some Indians also would like to think that they are part of the riots. Good for you!

There seems to be no massacre because of the virtual gag on press freedom. Does China have the guts to allow independent press reporting from Tibet or anywhere else in China? When the speaker of the US Congress and the President of France are talking about it, that's definitely not 'few tibetans and white skinheads'. And don't forget, France is assuming presidency of the EU in two months - so Beijing might soon be facing an European boycott that could terribly snowball out of control. I think the basic issue here is not the violations of rights - these happen even in the US. However, the lack of transparency and stonewalling of the truth is what is unkind. Remember that Gorbachev's Glasnost and Perestroika signalled the downfall of not just the USSR but the entire Warsaw Pact bloc. Beijing - are you listening?

These "peace loving" protesters who "peacefully" attacked Chinese embassy in New Delhi r definitely going to disrupt the Olympic torch relay in Delhi in a very "peaceful" manner by snatching the torch from the runners and fighting with policemen !!!! Great peace loving people !!!!

Who r u to tell me to keep quiet ? Dalai lama says Tibet is an integral part of China and nobody whould disrupt olympic torch run and he is fighting for greater autonomy. Govt. of India has the same stand. Vajpayee also said Tibet is an integral part of China. So why r u so much worried about Tibetans ? I am more concerned about my fellow Indians rather than some separatists using Indian soil for their cause. People like u who has blind political interests always blame people like me as ignorant. But i know u very well and your intensions.

Does that mean consciencious Indian should keep quiet. Indian did not remain quiet when aperthied was committed against Black africans, India did not remain quiet when pakistan army was ruling bangladesh. Why now? Why should you have problems if Indian people were to stand with the people of Tibet. You have not seen killings in Tibet. I have seen...Olympic torch is already dripping with tibetan blood, so Tibetans and their supporter has every rights and reason to protest. Talk to you grandfather if you want to hear the atrocity colonial power vent on the colonist people...worse is the case with China. They will just shoot you, 4 muslim killed in Xinjiang a week earlier for just asking they be allow to wear scarf. Shouldn't such regime be protested. Some suggest sport and politcs are different, that is total farce..reality is olympics are run for politics. Athletics are just a tool. So, beware of Chinese design...they might even succeed in fooling free nation people.

Tibetans :: Oppurtunist
by Observer on Apr 08, 2008 02:23 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Tibetans are oppurtunist and are trying to sabotage Olympics.

This is a very unfortunate on the side of tibetans , either olympics passes peacefully or do not , China is going to make sure that these tibetans are having a very long appointment with them.

And as sportsmans spirit is concerned , Every one should participate , those who fear of not even getting a single medal may back off on the pretext of attrocities on tibetans , reason being that they wont get any medal so why be there ...so they will expoliot it to the maximum extent.

And again any force that uprises for freendom from within a soveriegn country is considered anti national , and the strict law of the land (Anti national law) is applicable , so Tibetans you people can dance to tune unless olympics ...rest will be mystery .....

Forcefully kept out of ur country? Do you have to be reminded of the fact that it was the Dalai Lama who fled Tibet on a whim, taking you lot in his wake? u r welcome back any time you please so long as you accept the principle that Tibet is a part of China. There are Tibetans aplenty in Tibet or other parts of China who have made a good living alongside the Han Chinese and other Chinese minorities. I am sure you are also able to benefit from the fruits of China's reform and opening-up policies.

XianYe,
It seems you have memorised CCP history well, but the problems is nobody beleives it...even they Historien who wrote those shit says they have to rewrite those shit to bring China to be accpeted by the world. you must agree China has a credibility problems. I am pro-China and I have immense respect for Chinese Culture. I am for developed and harmonious China but i do not want to see Tibetan people suffer.Instead of finding solution to Tibet's problem, your leaders are denail mood. if everything is right, why would they protest? you are in control..if they are happy why anybody would succeed in instigation ? If there was one. I do not beleive a penny when China said Dalai Lama was involve. He was, instead telling his people that he disapprove voilence..even went on to say he support beijing Olympic. I think Chinese people do not get to read his speech, only Chinese intellectuals have come out to support dalai lama. but I tell you whole world suports him. China must talk to him to settle Tibet's problems. He lives in the heart and minds of the Tibetan people.....China controls only their body. So, listen to them..there might be a solution. One more thing, did you ever hear Li Peng and Jaing Zaimen visiting foreign countres....they will not as they know they are not welcome. Dalai lama is welcome everywhere in the World except Communist Cuba,Nepal,China,N Korea. You should make intellectual judgement...not an emotional one. I know you are Chinese..I have many close Chin
