Election Pointers - Karnataka
by AR on Apr 08, 2008 05:21 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

- The Congress attracted maximum applicants per constituency - there are virtual stampede of applicants. The JD(S) the least.
- The Congress still attracts maximum defections. The JD(S) none at all. In fact, it looks that the sheep is deserting the JD(S) lock stock and barrel.

In 2004 Lok Sabha elections the BJP won more than half the seats but could not repeat the same performance for the Assembly elections. Among reasons was that in the Lok Sabha, the stature of Vajpayee came into play and not the likes of local politicians.

On basis of these pointers, the Congress seems favorites to win the elections especially with the base of the JD(S) disintegrating. The return of SM Krishna consildates the Vokkaliga vote bank behind Congress.

There is high possibility of non-Lingayata communities adopting tactical voting agaties against the BJP. These include Vokkaligas, Muslims and other religious minorities, linguistic minorities, particularly Tamils, SCs and STs

A word of caution. These pointers however remain pointers - maybe unreliable as opinion and exit polls. It could be misleading as there is over a month to voting day. A single event can change electors mood.

RE:Thamil Eelam Independence by United Nations

Sounds to me the same the way Muslims dream for Caliphite and indulge in terrorism. Some muslims are fundamentalists because of their religion, the same way some Tamilians are fundamentalists coz of the language both of these makes man blind and make him loses logical sense.

Kick Tamilians out of India and let them fight for their independence and the whole race will be eliminated for good.

As the other Gentleman Ramesh Mure has pointed out, Tamils fanatics are Secessionists. Wherever they live they try to divide the society based on tamil and non-tamil lines and adopt fundamentally terrorist approach to accomplish their goal. Since they have started realising that their so-called fight for battle for Tamil Elam is an exercise in futility, they are trying to add spiritual colour to their claim in the name of Lord Rama and Lord Krishna. Whether in Ceylon/Malaysia/India/any place in the world Tamils are becoming more destructive rather than being constructive in nature... This weakness they can OVERCOME "only if" they do away with "tamil fanatism".. Hope God give them the required wisdom... to realise the life-style of 'SARVE JANAAHA SUKHINO BHAVANTHU'

Congress thought, if India has a lot of political parties, which are brought by anybody for 4 monies. Now it faces a lot of problems and it creeps its own harvest.

Indian people, Indian Left will be with you, they will never leave you for a few currencies. Think about, a good political leadership only can make for a workable country.

We gave votes for Congress for last 60 years... next time think a lot. They increased 120 crores people from 35 crores who are hardworking like donkeys but do not get sufficient food even. They are paving the way to loot by others in the name of retailing, mobile connections, english medium schools, private electricity, private universities, etc. in the name of 10% growth.

Why do you say poor software engineers?. They are the richest ones and they dosent even value the worth of their money and pay to the realators. This is only because they earn more than what they deserve. Let them be slaves for the banks or to the realators.

Why give it a communal colour by exhorting people to vote on relegious line. BJP is a good party with good agenda and track record...let people vote for or against them on credentials rather than relegion.
