You may not be totally wrong, but I think we all must admit that democracy survived in our country due to the policies of our leaders. See our neighbours. While we are prospering fast they are tottering and on the brink of bankruptcy. So our leaders were not that bad.

Jammu and Kashimr was ruled by King Shah. He was Hindu King for muslim population. His population wanted to be different identity. Britishers' also had interest in Jammu and Kashmir as it was similar kind of environment as any europian country. King didn't wanted to go along with India or Pakistan.
During Independance British has given option to all kingdom to take thier decision. They didn't wanted to force them to be part of India or Pak as they have served Britisher for 300/400 years.
As soon as Independance decleared for India and Pakistan. Pakistan was mainly ruled by local bodies ( which is still present in Baluch and Wazaristan, similar). They attacked weak King Shah, King expected help from Britishers and Britisher approached India for help. However India wanted King shah to sign agreement of merger of Jammu and Kashmir as part of India, which King was relunctant to do. This process has taken so much time that Kabila militia was 50 km away from Srinagar and King realized that he will not able to keep his kingdom in both option ( one was forced and 2nd was available). He has signed agreement and Indian Government has quickly send Indian army to srinagar and Saved Srinagar and started taking other parts of Jammu and Kashmir. However War has to be stopped by Britisher and they have asked pakistan to give back occupied POK. However newly elected Pak govenrment was helpless in front of Kabila militia ( This is still true, as they can not take any action even after

Hi Abdulla, Why were kashmiris,Pakistanis,Afghanistan,Iran(majority) so afraid of Muslims that they got converted to Islam...? Does this mean all the Muslims in this region are/were cowards ..?

Social people always affrid of goons. It is not linked with any religion.
Now also if you take look at common man, who is not coward however he never take one on one with goons.
About Conversion to Islam, I would suggest my friend that you should read about Islam and meaning of Muslim. Person does not to be following Islam to be a Muslim.
If you want understand more why people have converted to Islam, then please read basic information about reason behind Islam or watch movie "The Message".
We normally speak without having knowledge about background of it.

Bcoz India got premature Independence & Nehru( beauty without brains) cudn't handle & kept Patel/Bose away ...so the mess in all departments
pakistan should discuss kashmir only after peace returns to their country. This means there wont be any discussiion on kashmir at all coz peace never returns to pakistan.
Just as Tibet is now a integral part of China! Kashmir is a inegral part of India..and India should be firm on its statements that no one should hold talks on this regards.
Let us first discuss with Pakistan about the POK. Return the area back to India and let the people there at least live a peaceful life!
Any part that will go with Pakistan and Islam is sure to go through HELL! Isnt it so true that GOD SHIVA had cursed the pirs for misleading people, that this race if continued in the Pirs manner would be destroyed and never live in peace and harmony?

Please don't compare the two...China has forcibly seized Tibet and Tibetians HATE China. By comparing the two you mean that India has forcibly occupied Kashmir and the Kashmiris hate India...which is untrue. So think and comment on mass forums.
India is the aggrived party in Kashmir issue after Pakistan took away PoK. It is like negotiating the claim of aggressor over Delhi, after snatching a big slice of Kashmir. It is a core issue for India not with Pak for which it is a bore issue.
India should not entertain any discussion on kashmir. Since it's an integral part of India, Pakistan does not have any authority to ask india for any solution.
regarding bi-lateral tieup, this is a good step proposed by Pakistan. Rather than investing lots and lots of money on defense, the same can be invested in infrastructure and global warming issues.

If you're a Paki, you better worry about your own compatriots who get to elect their own governments once in like a couple of decades. And if you're a Kashmiri (this looks more likely), turn west and start walking till you reach Muzaffarabad in "Azad" Kashmir.

India did not capute Kashmir. Kashmir itself integrated with India, when Pakis attacked Kashmir. It is mainly due to Pak support to ultras (misguided) there are problems.

Just like sindh,lahore and karchi were once part of india and after agreement now they are with pakistan. So dont dare to think this.
