if Tibet gets free now it would not be strong enough to take care of itself and neither would it be democratic, it would just become a failed nation like Afganistan under the Taliban. So what the Dalai Lama wants is best for Tibet. ie autonomy to preserve its culture under the Chinese regime. yeah, correct. tibetans by themselves are peaceful. chinese rigged the riots recently, they have been caught in the act too!
Whole of World boycotts Chine for Chiense stubbornness, adamancy and hippocracy. Sanctions will follow. Indian industry will have an edge, merely because of their competetive edge in quality.

Have you heard from Latin America? Have you heard from Russia, the Central Asia and the Middle Eastern countries? The West is NOT the whole world. And a small part of the West at that. Haven't you seen the broad smile Gordon Brown was wearing standing by the torchbearer before No. 10 Downing Street? lol... I know the West is desperate to stop the unstoppable rise of China. We are not worried or jealous with China's growth like West. We have same advantages and growth economy like China. We understand that average chinese people are normal peaceful people like us. We do lot of business with china, don't we? But your Government handles our country in a bully manner. If they do not learn to respect India's border and keep insulting, than one day you will see a big unstoppable reaction from India.

The desperation comes because of the ills chinese government doing - funding the naxals, intervenin in Arunachal even after the previous indian government declared Tibet as part of China. Why Chinese govt wants to meddle in Indian territory. I know the Chinese people have good feelings about India, but the Chinese govt is crooked.

well, the whole world right now trades with china. and the leaders will do well, not to irritate china directly. we respect the chinese citizens. we bear no ill towards the chinese citizens.

no, most of the Chinese people know how the government treat them.i mean, most of us know we have no large-space freedom as you have and we know our government are hiding things from us, but we support them. Why? because it is them that leading China to a stronger power in the world. And we all understand if we are economically strong, there will be no countries especially western countries invading us any more.
we know that because we are under western power's invasion for hundreds of years. We know the insult and we will never forget about it. it is rooted in every Chinese person.

Hi Adarsh, As per my opinion, act Indian government can not support Tibat openly coz in India there are already disputes over Jammu & Kasmir and Arunanchal Pradesh. If it raised voice for Tibat, China and pakistan will start questioning for these two states. So for indian govt. its better to wait and watch policy.

there is actually no dispute over kashmir. china annexed tibet. kashmir had joined india. chinese govts have pushed in han chinese in tibet and killed tibetans. in kashmir hindus have been pushed out by muslim terrorists.

As for the Question of J&K it is like this. Kashmir got married with India with her full consent so it is a legal marriage by any any yard stick. While in the case of Tibet, China abducted and raped Tibet and now threatening that unless everyone give a recognition to the ralationships it will not approve the marriage of anyone else. But the trouble is legally married couples are getting cold feet.
In fact China is suffering from a pernicious lack of confidence, especially regarding the relationship with Tibet even after subjugating her over half a century.

absolutely. kashmir joined india. chna occupies a part of china, so does pakistan! the only thing these dispicable neighbours did was to foment trouble in the name of freedom - khalistan got its arms from pakistan, same with china funding in the north east.
bunch of no good countries, now burning in the inside themselves!
