Make him PM. Soon with in 1 week you will know that he has IQ of a 5th standard student if not less. If he was made PM by now he would have take the congress into a creek for a vaccation. The only thing he know properly is to use perfumes and cars.

YES THERE IS MEANING TO THIS. WHEN YOU CAN ENJOY ALL THE POWERS OF A PM, YOU ENJOY AND CONTROLL THE FINANCE FOR THE PARTY. YOU HAVE BETTER SECURITY THAN PM, THEN WHY YOU WANT TO BECOME A MINISTER AND REDUCE YOUR POWERS? FIRST INSTANCE WHERE RAHUL HAS SHOWN THAT HE IS MUCH INTELLEGENT

How many muslims in your cabinet?
by ananth K on Apr 07, 2008 01:43 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

These congis always talk about minority appeasement. Why don't you give some more ministries to some nationalist muslim leaders.

How does it matters, you add or remove rubber stamps?

by Tathagata Mukherjee on Apr 07, 2008 01:42 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This has proved that sonia gandhi knows how to stay in power. She has brought the young blood in ministry just when the election is one year away. Now this young blood who want to stay in power will work hard for congress and congress will survice coming election.

She has proved many time she knows how to remain in power

The cabinet continues to be in office at the pleasure of..................
by Kabeer on Apr 07, 2008 01:14 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The Union Cabinet survives as long as it has the confidence of the Prime Minister; the moment the PM loses confidence in his minister, the minister has to resign or else he would be recommended for removal.

Sonia Gandhi saying that SHE OFFERED RAHUL MINISTRY BUT RAHUL REFUSED means who is in control of the Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh!

Shameless Manmohan Singh is still continuing as PM when Sonia virtually snubbed him saying that it is she who will choose the ministers but not the PM.

You are wrong. The cabinet & the PM continue in office till the pleasure of THE PRESIDENT !!

The ruling party president always has a say in who becomes a minister. Sorry this charge against the PM is not going to stick. :)

RE:The cabinet continues to be in office at the pleasure of..................

Pl. read my exact words! you are right though in your statement.

The President can only appoint a person whom the Prime Minister recommends; likewise, if and when the Prime Minister recommends removal of a particular minister the President has no choice but to remove him or her from the Union COuncil of Ministers.

However, though the President can not advise the Prime Minister whom he or she should include in the Council of Ministers the President can certainly say he or she is not very comfortable with a particular minister and the PM may ask the minister to resign.

But the point is who is Sonia Gandhi to offer ministerial berth to Rahul? It is the prerogative of the Prime Minister. Surely, as a party president she can voice or issue commands at the party meetings . But going on record saying that she offered a berth to Rahul is nothing but undermining the authority of the Prime Minister.

Going by "exact words" as you want me to take your words...well are the exact words of Sonia Gandhi "Offer ministerial berth" to Rahul? Nope...she said she wanted Rahul "to be made" minister. Obviously it will be done by the PM & as a President of the party, she will have a definite influence in that. There is nothing wrong in that. Party & govt. have to work towards similar goals.
