Why we need to stop the project!

Its for our state, we do. We wont stop for cause. The project is based on the water we get after it enters TN.

KARUNANIDHI SHOULD RETIRE FROM CM POST IMMEDIATELY..
by MGR Fan on Apr 05, 2008 04:19 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Let his son MK Stalin become CM.

Atleast he will not inflame people in name of language.

MK is a rusted knife, needs to be rested .

Let him retire and write poetry instead of kindling emotions

All these fights are surfacing due to weak PM. People must throw such soft PMs. Country should have Iron Man as PM who will crush all these anti nationals.

hey... rajnikanth had no options but to bend for the pressure from tamil industry. Rajini should not have gone against karnataka as he is born and brought up in mandya and he realises the issue. He didnt participate the previous time when there was protest from tamil film industry.

Is there not enough water in Cauveri River for supply to KT,TN,AD,Kerala ?
by arun naik on Apr 05, 2008 03:48 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

What is the real problem dear all brothers ?
is there less supply and more demand for river water ? We in Maharashtra provided jobs to all states persons. when it goes beyond limit that our survival came in danger, then only we reacted. In this water crises, water is gift of nature and natural justice must be made to all and for that you all are abusing and using against one another such dirty remarks and all that ? Be generous and just.

Karnataka is KRS dam, where water is accumalated from rain water from rain-water-catchement areas apart from cauvery water. Regular quantity of water that needs to be released to TN is released. But TN is asking for more water taking note of the water present in KRS water. We have sacrificed acres of agricultural land and villages when KRS dam was built. We do we have to release excess water. Why cant TN build its own dam wel inside its boundary.

mr mandy, u r not in real mandya!!! they have a dam built across river cauvery in TN. It is a very complex issue not so easy to explain. In general the feeling in karnatak is that when we dont of have sufficient water for our own use (which is true also, why should we release water from KRS but TN is fighting in courts and at tribunals based on the agreement during british raj between the erstwhile mysore state and madras province. TN in fact gets much more than the share of karnataka!!!! that angers kannadigas!!!

Arun Naik Ur sick!

U dont have any right to talk about this when u say WE IN MAHARASHTR PROVIDED JOBS to all states person. Did any employee came to you begging for a job? Moreover, most of the employers in Maharashtra are North Indians / Gujarathi's / Rajasthani's etc. Dont talk nonsense & rubbish pls. for god's sake. Ur message very clearly indicates ur narrow thinking. Dont create disharmony by dividing Indians state wise.

TAMIL PEOPLE.. REMEMBER WHAT DMK DID TO MGR IN 1970s...
by MGR Fan on Apr 05, 2008 03:33 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

They called MGR a Malayalee Circus man, because he dared to question the corruption of DMK leader.

Still MGR won elections in 1977 and he has done more good to the state than any DMK leader ever.

It is not about whether a person is Malayalee or Kannada or Telugu or Tamil .

It is about what a leader does to the people who voted. Remember that, dont be emotional and lose your temper for sake of some politicians who will profit from all this..

Will Tamil Nadu Suffer Again?
by Subramanian Srinivasan on Apr 05, 2008 03:27 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This is not the first time he has made such a move--

But for each such move Tamil Nadu has suffered and not gained any thing--

Remember withdrawal of the case in Cauvery River dispute in early seventies, it took thirty years to get a verdict--

Giving away the rights of Kachathivu (Srilanka) the fishermen down south still suffer--

This also may affect the Tamils in the long run, but Tamils are used to it for the last 30/40 years and so we can withstand it.
