You should not provide misinformation on this site. Some people could be misled. I think the objectionable thing about rape is a joke as the way you have written it. Besides you should be aware that unlike some other nations in India it is a crime to treat the national flag in a way that is derogatory. Making the flag into underwear would certainly not be condoned.
... the laws will change such that, when a convict gets a bail, the government also should pay him 'in-convenience' allowance for having stayed in the jail till bail. What say ? HeHe.

That sounds good to me. But who is going to change that? The same person who will not change the law will also not make a law for the government to pay like that.
Indian judiciary system is very weak. You don't normally release such suspect in bail. What is the guarantee that he will return to the trial? Is 25,000 rupees enough for a drug dealer to make him come to the court next time? He earns hundreds of thousands of rupees by drug dealer and the judge set 25,000 as bail? That is so nonsense. He should have been either denied bail or set a very high amount which he cannot pay. You don't release a child molester in public just like that. I am so disgusted with these judges. They seem to have no common sense.

Agreed with you...In this weak system money always play a lot role..In many cases like SHivani case..RK sharma is imposed a fine of 10000 or some minimal amount also..there are cases when bail is granted for the surety of 10,000 ...I think these amount were in the govt book since IPC was written in 50s...in those days 10,000 amount was too much as class on officer's salary was less than 1000...punishement is fine but financial context of the IPC needs to be revamped..like it should be based on the person's individual buying power...make such amount ten times the monthly earnings of the person..ek baar paise ka mota injection lagega admi ko dubara galti karne se pehle 100 baar sochega..
Yes, we need to look at the laws we have written long time back. The law should have been written to specify the minimum amount, not maximum amount, so that the judge can apply his judgment freely. In other countries, especially in USA, I believe the bail amount is negotiated between the judge, the defendant and the public prosecutor and the final amount is fixed by the judge only.
What is there to say? Drug dealing has been going on in Goa for decades. People in Goa (maybe not all) pop drugs like vitamin pills it seems. Therefore the Court must have thought drug dealing to be a fairly routine matter only directing the accused person to not go overseas for this purpose. It is this persons punishment to deal only in Indian drugs from now on.
