Mr Karthik, Your narration is fine but I think you have confused kannadigas with tamilians. typical tamil muddle headedness. pl substitute "kannadigas" with "tamilains" your narration will be appropriate and hones ( a rare thing for a tamilian ) ravi ravi
these kannada government is mistreating tulus. Do you think tulus are puppets? they will raise against you and we have all guts to cut your throat. first let us all target this sleeping ugly shit deve gowda.
I would rather see tamil nadu become a separate country with water treaty with india. Atleast pakistan is having all the water it needs from india and irking india at its will. Tamil Nadu is not even able to get its share of water alloted by Supereme Court and to add salt to its wound Karnataka politicians are asking it to not build anything in tamil soil on the water alloted by supreme court. Only thing remaining to be seen is to demolish the dams that it has built on cauvery river.
Let me add few more points to the already posted information. Many kannada friends why the Hogenakkal has been chosen for the project and not mettur. Mettur reservoir is surrounded in the north by Shervaroyan hills, the meeting point of eastern ghats and a part of western ghats. It is practically impossible and extremely expensive to lay huge pipes thro' these mountains. Morover mettur is in lower riparian region than Hogenakkal, Dharmapuri and Krishanagiri districts. You cant deny the law of nature that water flows from higher to lower level
Secondly, Hogenakkal can be the only ideal place from where huge quantities of water can be pumped due to its depth . So the TN project is entirely genuine and valid

Dear Voice, I agree with you Tulu evolved along with malayalam and is quite different from Kannada. Everyone will agree with me that Karnataka politicians(dominated by southern districts) never really lend their support to other indigenous people of KN like Tulu speaking communities in coastal karnataka, Coorgis and people from north and central karnataka. They are busy creating rifts between Tamils and Kannadigas with the help of useless vedika activists and keep the settled matters ever burning.

Tulu which is one among the five Dravidian languages has no State for itself.
Under the Karnataka State, the growth of Tulu has been curtailed and the extensive use of Kannada has stunted the growth of Tulu.
I suport Tulu as a langauge that neen protection from the kanadigas.
Its not the power plant or dam that TN is trying to construct on TN's side of Hogenakkal. It is the drinking water project which will feed two water starved districts Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri of northern TN (permitted by Karantaka in 1998 in exchange of Bangalore water supply project). Rediff should stop misguiding people by giving wrong news.
