Khushboo!!
by Tariq Sheikh on Apr 03, 2008 06:24 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

What does Khushboo thinks about Hogenakkal project ? I think her opinion must also be sought. After all TN has tradition to make filmstars as top politicians and even she is quite "OPEN" minded.

If D Gowda can be accepted as a polictician , then even a Chimpanzee can become a politician.

Don't forget the way you guys were jumping against kerala in the Jayamala issue. every male in KN was reacting like jayamala is their wife. LOL!

Hogenakkal project
by tamilan on Apr 03, 2008 05:34 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

To
Dear friends who oppose this Hogenakkal scheme,
Do you know which state is going to face elections now? Do you know who has instigated this recent unrest? B.S.Yeddyurappa,who was in the chief miniaster's chair for just a week, appeared desperate to work up an emotive election-eve campaign. The key fact is that the two states reached an agreement in 1998 that they would not oppose each other's drinking water scheme. Tamilnadu withdrew its objection to the diversion of cauvery water for the Bangalore drinking water scheme on the understanding that Karnataka would not oppose the Hogenakkal drinking water scheme. This Yeddyurappa doesn't have any positive points to meet the elections. So as usual they try to instigate violence across the state to get some cheap political mileage.

politicians lie to conceal the truth, artists lie to reveal the truth. The situation in India is especially bad in India due to lack of education and lots of poverty. As long as we continue to have both of these, we will face more such stunts as people are easily excited and are very sensitive. Yes it is a stunt by Yediyurappa to whip up support but TN is not blameless, Karuna deliberately spoke harshly so that Krishna can step in as a saviour coz Krishna paid lots of personal money during the Verrappan saga.

It looks
by cynic on Apr 03, 2008 04:34 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

like a prearranged stunt between Karuna and Krishna who are said to be excellent friends. This is being done to help whip up passions and help Krishna win by acting as a saviour and a quid-pro-pro will be done when TN elections are round the corner. And like fools both Kannadigas and Tamilians are fighting on the message board.

Why Hogenakkal?
by saigeetha jagannathan on Apr 03, 2008 04:33 PM  Permalink

Kindly analyse the geography of this area of dispute. It will be practically impossible or too expensive to take the water from Mettur dam than Hogenakkal as Mettur is surrounded in the north by Shervaroyan Hills, a meeting point of eastern and a part of western ghats. It is practically too difficult to lay huge pipes thro' these mountains to reach Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri districts. Morover, the Mettur dam is in lower aprarian region that Hogennakal, Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri and everyone knows that water flows from higher level to lower level. Can you people deny this?. The right for which TN is fighting is valid.
Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri districts are highly water starved districts and Hogenakkal can be the only place where water can be pumped in large quantities due to its enormous depth (that too from the allocated share) than in other areas.
I request all my kannadiga friends to approach this issue more in HUMANIZED manner than declaring as a border issue. After all, those living in these two districts are as human as those living in Bangalore or other parts of Karnataka.

KARUNANIDHI IS RIGHT
by proud iyer on Apr 03, 2008 04:15 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

what mr karunanidhi said is right, there is nothing wrong in it. he said that kannadiga goons are threataning to crush the buses even if they crush our bones we will implement the project" the words are example for gandhian philosopy and highest stateman ship. he in ahimsa manners expresses his commitment to his people in implementing project. He does not threaten to crush kannadiga goons but only to bear crushing of his bones. The english national media which villanised Raj thackrey because he attacked tamils is now distorting the facts by blaming that karunanidhi is threatining. these people should brush up their english skills. karunanidhi is ahimsa vadhi while kannadiga chavunists are terrorists threating tamil people in bangalore unnecessarily to impose superiority complex.
