What steps?
by Gautam Sinha on Apr 03, 2008 10:04 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Pakistan had clearly demanded that India admit that Sarabjit is Indian spy. Meanwhile Sarabjit's confession to Pakis showed he worked based on instructions from Amritsar branch of Indian intellegence and he was involved in Paki bomb blasts. This means that if India took all necessary steps (asusming effective steps) then India admitted to state sponsored terrorism. If this is not the case, then India may be exchanging some Paki spy like Afzal Guru. Both these options are dreadful. So Mr PM please explain what steps you are referring to.

India has taken steps to secure Sarabjit's release: PM
by Nirpinder Singh on Apr 03, 2008 05:41 AM  Permalink

The Indian Government should sincerely follow this case till the Indian prisoner is released. It is also necessary for the two Governments to initiate a comprehensive dialogue on exchange of all long and short term prisoners. It does not behove neighbouring nations to hold captive each others citizens and neither does it behove them to interfere in each others domestic affairs. We have an opportunity to move away from antagonism and towards friendship. For the sake of the people of these nations we should extend and grasp the hand of friendship and banish enmity.

PM wakes up after a deep sleep!
by Ramesh Kapoor on Apr 02, 2008 10:23 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Amazing isn't it, that the PM has woken up from a long slumber and is thinking of doing something to save Sarbjeet from the gallows in Pakistan. For the last few days Rahul baba has been in the limelight sleeping in huts with Adivasis, preparing to go to jail in UP, etc.

So you think the PM does only what comes to your notice? Working to save Sarabjit's life......do you think it should be done with full disclosure of details to the public?

has the pm singh really done enough
by Pradip Parekh on Apr 02, 2008 10:15 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

we never heard him say he could not sleep over this, have we? this case again reveals congressis can't score a success in foreign affairs. it took tony blair just one visit to have an arms-dropping brit criminal from indian jail. this would be the simplest thing to do in foreign affairs with a country whose people indian congressi goi are allowed immigration into india by millions every week. congress failures range from this simple case in pakistand to failure in malaysia to this nuke deal with usa and many more.
