father..its called democracy..! Voice of the people must be heard..just like u watch rape/murder/dawood and gangs activities on tv everyday..these are the lesser but important in daily life of a vibrant india!
I thought Tamilians were a bit more intelligent. Here we go again. It is high time politicians and locals be kept under check , one of the prime reasons of increased regionalism is the rapid urabnization of our cities without development in the peripheral areas. Uneven development is Indias challenge. Software companies can give the country direction in this by allowing more and more employees to work from their native places . Reliance and tata has the infrastructure to provide the required band width. It is time software companies made some honest efforts to decentralize their infrastructure. Both in Bangalore and Chennai , the current problems are primarily because of the surge in population which disturbed the ecosystem of these cities, companies should move out from cities and that is the only way to solve these kind of issues.

Europeans are not good at living together(see how there are so many nations in Europe that are smaller than districts of Indian states). Indians are more mature when it comes to that.

This type of thing bothers me a lot..... I used to think that at least South India is a very well behaved area, and only thing can happen there is Islamic Violence. Now I am surprised to learn this type of infightings. I heard in Karnataka there are large population of Kannada people of Tamil origin, as they settled in that area long time ago. They may speak Kannada but they are ethnically Tamil, and sometimes they speak both. I happen to have worked with such a guy. I don't know how they would react to this type of nonsense... Friends, please think India first...and behave as the way Netaji once told "When U meet a fellow desi, always greet him by saying Jai Hind". By the way I am from the Lost State of India Waste Bengal. your friend Sanatani

Usually Bengalees dislike Bengalees which led to West Bengal become Waste Bengal...and all other Indians had noticed this long time ago. Whenever a Bengalee Engineer works in a group, that pretty much ends any chance of having another Bengalee in the Company. But lately other Indians told me that this Infectious Disease has spread to other communities also. But my 2 cents are whatever is the case we should try to ignore and think positive. I am sure there would be a few people who behave this way and try to influence the rest of us.

Hi guys , All of keep one thing in mind. INDIA'S FIRST ENEMY IS POLITICIAN AND MEDIA. Jawaharlal Nehru is the first traitor of the country to follow BRITISH RULERS "DIVIDE AND RULE". Our country's CULTURE is absolutely not based on Language. This strategy is artificially used and injected through media to be in power by congressmen OR British rulers. BRITISH PHILOSOPHY IS STILL VERY STRONG IN OUR COUNTRY.

Tamilians accepted alwyas other culture & people and they are always people friendly. You may seen that GujjuS & Marwadis in any other state which TN has got. Nitn, Such a arrogancy in your mind and the filthy attitude makes you hatered man. I am sure you are not welcomed in your own town with this is cheap, communal and prickle menatality. Ha ha! I can only laugh at your comments. North Indians does the same to Tamils (when we comes to North India as we lack Hindhi). I don't say that Tamils are doing TIT for TAT with you. Because you hold your head pridely all the time and don't appreciate the simplicity and pure love from Tamils. If you understand tamils, they make you feel at home. Just for example starting from actresses (Kushboo, Simran, Jothika), business people (punjabis and Marvadees) and students from North feel at home in Tamilnadu. Most of the North Indians (except considerable kind people) think and act arrogant way. Show the supermacy (even if they are worthless). They simply envy at Tamils for their intelligency, dedication at work and simpilicity and take every opportunity to discrminate. Feeling like they are Elite people due to fair skin. They ridicule the Tamils, who don't speak Hindhi and dark complexed. Can you tell any Freedom fighters from TN. You never want to acknowledge Tamils for their contribution in the National growth including freedom fighting. First of all, be a gentle human. Tamils will glorify you. Brother, Good luck in your stay in TN and enjoy the life. Don't add fuel to the flame and create hostle environment in our wonderful India. Victory to true humans and Indians!!!! Dr. Suresh

its pathetic to note that the basic observation 'like seeing tamilians beaten up' is not marked as abuse. First do that and dont mark the replies to it as abuse.. Rediff behaving in a partial manner to these messages does not go well with media ethics

RE:Who needs Pakistan
by nitn on Apr 02, 2008 11:38 PM Permalink
dude, we badly need pakistan. Pakistan is what unites this country as it takes focus away from regionalism and concentrated us on enemy. If there was no pakistan, we would have fought among ourseoves and broken up by now
The centre and parliament have to take charge. what the hell are they being paid for . The supreme court must also intervene. All people involved in stoking regionalism should be meted out heavy punishment . Parliament should enact an ordinance or law that would ensure that stoking regionalism is made at par with being a traitor and similarly punished. All Indians are brothers and people should save and provide security to their brothers who may have come from outside their state. This is a good time to show that we are all sons of mother India.

It is not a proper way to handle the problem. The law will not deliver the goods it will shake the very foundation of the nation. Instead of denoying the probem or ostrich move we have to give justice to sons of soil also
