RE:MUSLIMS COPIED MOST THINGS FROM EGYPTIAN AND PERSIANS !!!
by balaord on Apr 01, 2008 11:54 PM  Permalink
Who copied whom??For example Muslims always refered the number system as Hind number system - never claimed that as their own.
It is europe which stood on the shoulders of Muslims and now calling the very people as backward.

Here is the confession from europe-s top rated mathematical body

...Recent research paints a new picture of the debt that we owe to Arabic/Islamic mathematics. Certainly many of the ideas which were previously thought to have been brilliant new conceptions due to European mathematicians of the sixteenth, seventeenth and eighteenth centuries are now known to have been developed by Arabic/Islamic mathematicians around four centuries earlier. In many respects the mathematics studied today is far closer in style to that of the Arabic/Islamic contribution than to that of the Greeks...

THIS IS ALSO FROM BALAORD'S ARTICLE:

The concept of zero reached medieval Europe through the Arab nations who had probably learned of it from ancient Hindu and Chinese cultures. Prior to this Europe struggled with a system of Roman numerals, in which large numbers would consist of huge strings of letters. Once zero was incorporated, numbers took on the more manageable decimal system that we use today.

THIS CLEARLY SHOWS THAT THE VERY DECIMAL CONCEPT USED FOR SCIENCE WAS FROM HINDU FOUNDATIONS ...
in fact, the works of early indian astronomers use the decimal system for counting !
Veddic Mathematics is itself based on decimal system and can be traced back to the earlies Upanishads

Who denies that the Number system we use is from India? But the ingenuity of the number system would have never seen the light of the world -had it not been for the intellectual inquest of Muslims.
Again -Please talk about Baskara and Aryabhatta I have no objectsions
But I wont accept these vedic mathematics as a great thing at all.

I make a living out of writing and thinking about mathematics. There may be intersting shutras but we have thousands of such thing in the domain of number theory.

I talk about Vedic Mths here as there are more people who would be aware of Vedic Maths than read the exact works of Baskaracharya/aryabhatta !

In fact, I remember reading the exact Chebychev's Inequality in an ancient translated Hindu work (i dont remember the book)

FYI, the chebychev inequalkity was not discovered before nineteenth century while solving attempting to solve Fermat's last Theorem ..
This inequality has use even in the most advanced Schrodinger Wave Equations

This is what is written in the articles quoted by balaord:

As Islamic civilisation spread further into southern Europe, vast treasuries of long-forgotten knowledge from conquered lands were taken back to cities like Baghdad, Damascus, Cairo and Cordoba where they were translated into Arabic.

This clearly shows that Islamic science was based upon and influenced/translated from earlier works

Let us not then give the credit to Islam alone !
THAT WOULD BE INTELLECTUAL APOSTASY

I know science from the shores of Ganga and from Greece all contributed to Modern science. But islam was
the platform under which all races and their works got infused.Muslim scientists learnt from India
especially Al-Biruni and Al-Kharizmi.No one denies that.
The greatest science histornian George Sarton calls Islam was the bridge of civilizations - throwugh which knowldge flowed from east and west
I never claimed Muslims started everything from scratch -I must be stupid if I say so.
My claim of foundations of modern science has to be interpreted that way

It seems that you have no satisfactory answer. A a believer, you will not observe the flaws in the so-called holy books. Pl search for "The Skeptics Annotated Bible" It has category-wise verses like "Absurdities, Contradictions, Good Stuff, etc" Pl read and understand for yourslef.

Faisal - understand the concept of Supreme Divine God in hinduism ...
He is paramatma - the one from whom all our souls originate and to whom we return on doing good deeds ... good Kkarma !

There is nothing like Allah will give you jannat with virgins/pearl boys ...
Such a God who gives u such enticements to be faithful is a false God ... Muhammed is the false prophet

ps no hurt intended

Dear JGN,

I liked your approach. Who was waging the war. For that you need to study the history and learn who waged the war.

Islam is not only a relgion. It is a way of life which tells you how one has to conduct himself/herself in this world. The quoted verses were revealed for the conduct of war. I presume you are supposed to be a Hindu. And if you are a hindu, then I will give an example.

What did your Lord Krishna advise Arjuna when he was fightng against Karnan? Had the Pandavas not repelled the attack of Gauravas what would have been the history. Then, where is Bhagawat Gita. Which ruler in the history of mankind has advised his soldiers/followers, after securing emphatic victory on the battlefield, do not spoil green pastures, do not spoil water resouces, do not attack women, aged, children, do not cut trees et.

Dear friend, read history.

Do not get misguided.

Umust read hostory ... Muhammed allowed his followers to have sexslaves (possessions of right hand), he married Juwahariyaan (after killing her husband/brother)
Also remember how Muhammed had all the men of Banu Quraysha slain ... he even allowed their wives/children to be taken as slaves !

Dont compare muhammed's actions with Kurukshetra warfare (where utmost respect was shown to prisoners-of-war )

>>>>>>>>>Islam is not only a relgion.....yes I agree. It is more of a political ideology than religion. Islam is Arab imperialism. The Indian and Pak muslims are not considered as equals by the Arabs (now don't tell me that at Mecca all are allowed to pray together, etc)

>>>>>>>>>>>Lord Krishna advise Arjuna.........don't try to justify the absurdities in the Quran with some other absrud belief of the hindus. Mahabharata is an epic (story) and the author was partial to one family (as per the priciples of modern civil laws, the Pandavas were not entitled to rule the Kingdom)!

...Many of the traits on which modern Europe prides itself came to it from Muslim Spain. Diplomacy, free trade, open borders, the techniques of academic research, of anthropology, etiquette, fashion, various types of medicine, hospitals, all came
from this great city of cities..
