Gowda is a selfish, corrupt, greedy, power-hungry cretin who couldn't care less about frittering away any future chances - he's in politics only for the moolah, and can't wait till next time to loot and pillage - he wants it now, as they say, 'a bird in hand is worth two in the bush'.
It is ridiculous for Deve Gowda to make demand for certain action before the scheduled hand over. Now that the Minister has resigned as demanded, there should not be any reason for JD(S) for not honouring its promise. But there will be several others that will be invented even if there is a hand over of Power to BJP. It can only be termed as Mean, Unfaithful, and Unbecoming of a former PM to start playing game like this. There would certainly have some other drama unfolding had it not been this demand.
The BJP and the Congress must address themselves by making it amply clear not to allow these small regional parties to rule over them. It is only the hunger of power that made BJP to break the Congress led coalition government in Karnataka. Had it not been there, there could not have been such miserable situation arising.
These two national parties should have broad understanding of not destabilising such coalition governments of one another so that these small fishes would not start dictating things. The situation has gone down to such a level that a 'one man' party, such as an independent MLA, has been able to pull down a government. To appease these MLAs, plum postings are offered. This is nothing but bribing.
If these two parties have some understanding to deal logically and on a long-term basis, things would start working for them and there would not be such black-mailing possible.
That would, in turn, serve good for the Democracy.
If this Govt falls and there are fresh elections, then the benefit is likely to be for the Congress and that is the reason for them to keep away from the JD(S) now. Besides, they probably have had enough of handling Deve Gowda, who is behaving like a PM of the JD(S). The dignity of being a former PM is lost on this person.
The JD(S) and BJP combine, having got a chance at power in Karnataka, should not rock the boat now. For, they may not get such a chance once again should they fretter it away now. Hope sense will prevail. Otherwise both these parties will be loosers.

Be ware of these two Ditchers and for your good sake vote for BJP. If you give poweragain to these Ditchers then your State will go back and will remain in last rank permanantly and all your futur generation will be perished in their political battle. Better ignore these dirty two and bring back BJP with full power and honour
