Chinese saying
by nickel biswas on Sep 29, 2007 12:39 AM  Permalink

There is an old chinese saying:

The chicken said to the pig, let's work together and with a bit of give and take we can both have a good breakfast.

The pig said: "That's a great idea. I'm willing to make some compromise, so we can both enjoy a good meal"

The chicken: "Great. I'll bring the eggs, and you can big the bacon!"

This is what the Chinese mean by negotiation. I give a little, and then demand a LOT in return.

China India Relations
by laligam sekhar on Sep 28, 2007 11:55 PM  Permalink

This article has been published anonymously. It will be interesting to know where the funding for Rediff is coming from....I am sure China is contributing a lot of soft money...
Mr. Zhou would of course like India to give , like Tibet has given (i.e. been taken over by China. This will also be pleasing to all the communist parties, and perhaps solve a lot of India's problems (they will not be reported any more).
India and China can never be "friends" in the true sense. They are two big powers with competing interests. China is a county with grand imperialist designs, and wants to exploit the natural resources and advantages of India to its own gain. It wants to become a military industrial power to rival the USA, and is fast on its way. India is ajust a fly in the ointment. There will be a lot of "Hindi - Chini Bhai Bhai" until its goals are achieved....

This GIVE and TAKE with the chinese will be INDIA's undoing.
by Vishnu Sharma on Sep 28, 2007 11:49 PM  Permalink

Because the Chinese only know how to "take" sorry "Grab" and kill.

Give has never been a word in their dirty chinese dictionary.

The last thing we would want is amateur politicians who go to china, succumb to chinese
"hospitatility" and then gift Arunachal pradesh to them in return for Aksai Chin.

NO ! NO! and ONCE AGAIN NO!

They can keep asksai chin for now.
We will take it when we have built up enough strength.
But GIVING the commanding heights of Arunachal Pradesh to the chinese will be national suicide.

We should start readying our army to
prevent any misadventure
If possible also point Nukes towards chinese cities. (Beijing especially)

FORCE: ie. BULLETs is the only language the chinese understand.

'Give and Take' policy to solve border: Zhou
by Bodh Ramdeo on Sep 28, 2007 11:20 PM  Permalink

Yessir, The next Chou dynasty is at it once again, this time it's the Nehru dynasty's grand-daughter-in-law who they'll be piddling on, in the name of friendship and peace, the new 'principles of give and take' - India gives and the Dragons take.
Yessirreee, when Rajmata Her Royal Highness Empress Sonia G returns from her grand trip to Beijing, she'll 'educate the Indian public' about her signing over huge swathes of Indian territory over to the Dragons, all in the name of 'give and take'.

With India's help, Sri Lanka is settling Sinhalease in villages and areas that has been Tamil for 1000s of years. My village is almost all Sinhalease now. Hopefully, China does the same with the North East in India. Thats the only way, Indians will know the pain of loosing land. Go China.

India - Karma is beautiful.

Mutual understanding need of hour
by B P on Sep 28, 2007 08:35 PM  Permalink

India and China should go with mutual understanding not with ego and national pride. Both government should make false national pride which in turn makes both countries people frustrate. But also India should keep in mind that China alone can not draw border, and then ask neghbours to settle accordingly. Arunachal pradesh is peace full part of India and china can not claim it on the basis that one of China's great man born in Arunachal pradesh, otherwise same way India can also clain Mansarovar lake as its part of India's culture and India goes there for prilgrimage. Solution should be practical.

Can't give to Chinese for next few centuries
by You yourself on Sep 28, 2007 07:13 PM  Permalink

Chinese will often create a bogus problem to talk about compromise on, while leaving aside other problems they have created.

If our RAW were intelligent enough, it would make pakis do their holy Islam in China and demand Xinjiang's independence or even as a part of Pakistan.

China has territorial disputes with practically every country it borders and countries like Philippines with which it has no border. These countries need to unite.
