Malice
by JGN on Sep 24, 2007 03:24 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

the Human Condition on the planet is still epitomized by malice and sorrow as exemplified by all the wars, murders, rapes, domestic violence, corruption, sadness, depression and suicide. Malice and sorrow are the direct result of a genetically-encoded instinctual survival program located in the primitive animal brain in the human animal and that it is this ancient genetically-encoded program that gives rise to the animal instinctual passions of fear, aggression, nurture and desire that are so evident in human beings.

Hi JGN, the idea of atheism would not be appreciated by the majority of the DK/DMK cadres as they are only against "the mythical Aryans"... and hence they would continue with Shaivism while engaging in vandalism with other beliefs of the Vedic culture...

Though they may look for succour from your words, it would be only to twist it to thier selfish gains...

But as to your remarks on the human mind, our scriptures have aptly dealt with this and it is upto us to enlighten the mind...

Dear Seshadri, An enlightened mind should not harbour hatred for others, especially on the basis of Caste, creed, colour or religion. Now people have become more religious and intolerent than thinking rationally.

I was at Coimbatore for about a week during May this year. Due to some procession (festival in a Mariamman Kovil), I could not go to the travel agent's office. Even my driver told that these sort of processions started during the last ten years or so only. It is high time that we all put in our best efforts to eradicate superstitions (if somebody want to believe in god, let him keep to himself and his family only).

Strange acts of Ram
by Sanjeev on Sep 24, 2007 03:18 PM  Permalink

The same Ram along with Sita and Lakshman protected Madhurandhagam bank (Yeri Kaatha Ramar) and gave darshan to Sir Leonald Place (or was it Lionel), a British collector who found new respect for all Pegan religion. The same Ram is happily watching Atheists making a mockery of him silently.

Yes, the correct thing to do is to raze all places of whorship to ground and build educational institutions, hospitals, shopping malls, etc which are useful to all in their place. Also subsidised housing for the poor (irrespective of caste or religion) can be provided

Thank the idea of JGN which recommends racing:

1. Places of worship
2. Bars and discotheques
3. Brothels
4. Finance companies
5. Your home (Will you not donate to build a hospital)
6. JGN's home (same reason)

Mr.Sanjeev,
It may not be possible to raze the places of worships in the near future, but we can still enlighten people about the futility of the so-called holy books and religions (and corresponding gods, prophets, etc).

As for the other points mentioned by you, they are just your imaginations. Btw, I will donate to the best of my ability for building a hospital or school. No doubt about it.

Dear Abhinav, I am not in favour of targetting one group selectively. Though what Mr. MK said is a bitter truth, the way in which he said the same is not appreciable. Being the CM of a State, he should have considered the sentiments of a large section of the population.

At present what Karunanidhi has done is totally condemnable and one should not be acting as follower but give his unbiased opinion on that.

CASTESIM
by Asim Mehtani on Sep 24, 2007 02:49 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

During those periods, there were no casteism. Manu had divuded the Universe into four parts as listed below :

1. Brahmin : Who use to give the Knowledge ?
2. Shatriya : Who use to do war ?
3. Vaishya : Who use to do the Business ?
4. Schudera : Who use to do the physical work
of any form ?
Men was defined by their action during those days. A person borned in Brahmin family started doing physical job, will not called Brahmin, he will be called Schudera. This was a basis practice at that time. Now a days, the whole context is changed and selfish analysiation has been given to the society by the politicians for fulfilling their selfish interest for vote bank politics only. New definations has been created.

RE:CASTESIM
by rajesh on Sep 24, 2007 03:19 PM  Permalink
GThere were no caste systems in the Rmayana period - if we closely look at it people were respected and revered for their knowledge and achievements only rather than any mention of the caste - e.g. Sage Valmiki was not a Brahmin but revered by Brahmins as well. Lord Rama was a Khatriya, Krishna was a Yadav, Sage Vishwamithra and Sage Vasishta, the most revered sages were the ones who educated Rama and gave him the most powerful weapons to him. The society was having four wings to carry out specific tasks : 1. Brahimns - Education, Havana etc. and carry out intellectual works.
2. Vaishyas : Cater to the demand and Supply requiremtns of the soceity - (business)
3. Kshatriyas : Provide Protection to the nation.
4. Shudras : Carry out the Physical works - labour etc. which are essential for the survival of any soceity. all the four wings needed and depeneded on each other and had mutual respects. there were no restrictions nor untouchability durint those days. the very fact that sage Vishwamithra was a King (Kshatriya) and became became a brahmin after Tapasya itself proves that brahminism was not by birth but a qualification or achievement. Later on this system must have brought about a change in the soceity which developed the ugly caste system. The present day politicians have made the best (?) use of this caste system to divide the society and (mis)rule.. And Self serving people like Karunanidhi further divided the society with Dravidian and Aryan theories...

Anybody who follows the leader blindly is definitely a DALIT even if he belongs to upper caster by birth and vice versa.

Of course, there were some issues with hinduism, because generally low caste people didnt keep themselves clean, ate meat, these categorisations were made.. especially because such people shouldnt enter temples after they ate meat. its a very genuine thing...

even i wouldnt let a begger enter into my house if he/she was not clean...

i think over the years, such things have become castes and the new age politicians started using it to their convenience.

TN is peaceful
by Mohammed Islamul on Sep 24, 2007 02:48 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Generally TN is very peaceful and Karunanidhi needs something to instigate between Hindus and other religions.

Infact in one of the southern districts, Muslims had distributed Sweets in Vinayaka Chathurthi procession.

Only congress and Karunanidhi kind of people destroy harmony in TN.

If its not religion - they will start Hindi Tamil problems - else caste problems....

People please remain vigilant of such dirty politics

People in Tamilnadu are used to this style of working of His Highness Karinanidhi. Normally he used to make Fun of Hindus. But, this time, as he is a big partner in Central Government, he thought himself as equal to God that he made fun of god by questioning his excistence.

He will never dare to talk ill about any gods. If he had spoken by this time, he would have been dead. He knows that. He will talk only about Hindus.

Hindus in Tamilnadu are a divided lot. He has brainwashed people based on castes / Aryan / Dravidian / OB / BC etc. He knows Hindus won't stand united and hence, he Hindu Hater is enjoying the fruits.

DEAR divisive forces
hinduism is not only your household thing. before behaving like that read VIVEKANANDA, AUROBINDO, PERIYAR EVR, BHARATI, ADISANKARA AND OUR FOUR VEDAS RIK, YASUR, SAMA AND ADHARVANA.
No written statement of what hinduism is? how it is? all those teachings are about welfare of the society to live in harmony unlike spreading hatredness.
but this very sad that our own religion and charactors of our old stories are taken into politics to make those great epics shame?
Tamil community will not welcome u.
u r not not invited here.
