The way to achieve the Sethu project is not by denying Ram existed. This automatically means the bridge was man made. I'm not sure the project is financially beneficial. You can read it in www.ramsethu.org. If you are bent on having this project completed, why not take a little diversion? Nobody is saying scrap the project totally. It is the ego and arrogance of MK that comes on the way of the progress of the project.

Sonu I would have said the same thing, if they told Jesus had built the bridge. Even for expanding highway's they are removing temples and proceed with that.. This project will bring in 10 new ports in the south india and will make tuticorin as a world class port, which will be a boon to the entire south. But will the dmk and you will be there to see that al the 10 will be completed; or will you stop this project after getting your due and left others as nont feasible. Is it a boon to the entire south or to the DMK party. In south we have different languages and how the DMK can digest it. Will you suggest for tamil to be the national language of south. Can you say anything if the bridge was built by Allah, then you can see what can happen to you. Dear, Mr. Bala Krishnan, marine life and ecology will be impacted in whatever manner you disturb the bridge. Anyway, don't tell me MK & co and Indian govt are worried about the ecology. Whether the bridge is imaginary or not the expected financial benefits are definitely imaginary. It is being compared to Suez or Panama canal by the proponents. There couldn't be a more ridiculous argument. MK is more concerned about this as hurting Hindu sentiments (no matter whether you believe in Ram or not) will fetch him minority votes by solidifying his 'secular' character.

The secientists you are referring to is the Tuticorin port trust that completed the studies in 2 days. Again the financial benefits are overblown. How many ships are now going around Sri Lanka or how many are not coming this way because they have to go around Sri Lanka. It is just common sense that nothing big will be achieved by this project. What about the fishermen that would be impacted by this project? This project is giving the athiests and Hindu bashers a tool to tout Hindus under the guise of development.

Well said brother -- They can do bhajans to Ram and save our country and give us a GDP of 10 percent -- Meanwhile we can go back to public toilets to clean human waste and work in farms to server this royal saints and give them rice and food and fall on their feets to get their blessings.
The so called sand dunes or Ram Bridge extends over 30,000 meters from India to Srilanka. There are over 20 similar sand dunes accross the world. For the sethu project, They just need 300 meters to be excavated out of 30,000 meters. The monkey Advani is trying to get political gains over this issue and all poisonous cross belts are supporting him. I am a hindu and from a place close to the so called Ram bridge. 99% of the people here feel that the project should go ahead and our fishermen and srilankan fishermen used to shit on the sand dunes for hundreds of years. If you feel it is holy, then take it.

You should go and first change your name..I guess your parents believed in Krishna and they named you after him..But I guess you need scientific evidence for everything... Even I don't believe in such stories..but if you don't know about something that does mean it doesn't exist. Knowledge of science and history for humans is like fraction of a percent of knowledge out there. We don't know anything more than 2000 yrs ago, just speculation and theories that keep changing. We still have not put our foot outside of moon..and that also only once.
There are more reasons to believe ramayna and its stories than just dump it as a myth..Our scientific community has not have enough resource funds and technology to prove its theories

FOR EXAMPLE, THERE IS A SAINT IN ANDHRA PRADESH, CALLED SRI RAMAMDASA, AND HIS LIFE IS AS RECENT AS only 500 YEARS OLD. AT THAT TIME, MUSLIM RULER TANISHA WAS RULING AND SRI RAMADASA BUILDS A TEMPLE BY TAKING MONEY FROM PUBLIC, TANISHA LOCKS SRI RAMAMDASA TO REPAY, BUT LORD RAMA COMES AND PAYS THE MONEY TO TANISHA. THERE IS A TEMPLE STILL REVERED AS GREATE PLACE OF WORSHIP, CONSENTED BY TANISHA AT THAT TIME WITH HIS WORDS.
