Hi Everyone, My name is Vivek Singhal, and I m working in Singapore for the last 4 years and because of my work, I have to travel China and SEA region a lot, and therefore, I believe that I have some knowledge about the mentioned subject to put my point of view across.
First of all the writer of the article is been there for a very little time, and generally when you look at the things superficially, they more or less seems to be pretty or good.
Even China's best cities Shanghai n Beijing has population problem, corruption is always there in higher corridors. If if you think that Chinese poor is better off than Indians, then just visit Across the South East Asian nations, and you will invariable find Chinese girls of all age group doing the worst possible to survive in this world, their parents have disowned them long ago, even before they were born, girls are not required in a country, where single child policy rules.
Karaoke, Massage parlors, Foot Reflexology are some of the names given to prostitution, n these sign boards are visible even in the remotest area of China.
Chinese mine workers, well everyone knows abt them, so i shd leave it, Slaves have been found in one of the Bricks manufacturing unit in northern china, n they were rescued by Police, only to realize that the whole area was full of slave factories, Slavery in 2007 in China, Yes, it is! I am not sure if our esteemed author of this article has anything to say about it.

dear vivek, thanks for sharing yr views. while most of wat u hv said holds true, the fact still remains that china is a country india has not ( & in all likelihood) will not match in terms of economic prosperity. but at the same time, matching the chinese ball-to-ball shudnt b our focus, when we can easily hold our head high in our own way.
The writer is obviously a paid agent of china and CPI(M). all this is nonsense. china is very poor country. there students are killed in public (tiamenn square) there is no press. newspaper are governmetn poor people are shot in farms india has dominated china in every sphere, be it technology, science, sports, culture , literature. can china defeat india in cricket? can they make bollywood movies? can they have great writers? india has so many booker prize winners can they make maruti car? can they make software? do they even know what computer is? do they have city like bangalore, mumbai or dellhi? they only have 1 city--- shanghai..hahahaha. population of 1.3 billion hasone show case city.. i can go on and on ..but forget it. LET THIS CHINESE AGENT ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS FIRST...TRAITOR

that's true!! but we should always know where we are when compared to our counterpart. won't you be working hard to reach the top place in your company??!! when you are competing hard against your own country men, why not you work and cross china??!!

did you see the skyscrapers in that picture in this article ? you take India's best city be it gurgaon or bombay or anywhere and tell me if we have even a single 40 storey skyscraper ..andif we have even one then prove it to me that it is not running on power backup or that the roads leading up to it are of great quality ?
In India only private sector is keeping India afloat otherwise the govt. (congress) has pretty much ruined everything in the last 40 -50 years by sheer babuom , laziness and corruption.

@NITIN dear with due respect to your criticism to china and love for india, i just want to give u some facts: I am an IT Business Application System Manager for a global fortune 50 company in Milan ,moving every 7 days to different cities of world. I was in china some days back. My impression before touching down in china was somewhat like u more dominated due to my recent exposures to cities like paris,rome, madrid, Singapore, KL, dubai ..............but as i got down from my flight in BEIJING, my idea started to change.They are really developed........cities like Beijing,Shanghai, Dalian are really global cities than indian counterparts.They are more hardworking and professional in approach towards a job. The Govt is doing a good job and the IT industry is really doing pretty well.The other infrastructure is better.So it is better not to criticize China but to shake off our misconception and push more to become the better.

@ V S ,vishnu, ajit this is not the reality of china....have u ever realised tht if u were in china , u can be arrested for writing this post.Agree china is developing but at what expense.i wud rather be free and little poor than having money but can't do what i want as in china..dude jus realise the worth of democracy.The writer is crazy idiot.jus becoz we were njoying democracy we r diminishing it's importance.believe me freedom is worth nyhting.nd i have travelled to both parts , i m more independent nd happy in india(atleast i have no fear of getting arrested for writing this)...even in market indian goods r known for quality while chinese only 4 being economical..people avoid buying those.And none of chinese companies r as bigger as their indian counterparts.An indian can now(not 10 years before though..now)can dream and follow their dream..chinese can't...i have met enuf of them to realise...about education..indians r really respected eveywhere becoz of the quality of their education....jus being 90% and not even 10% can't speak english in china...i know we have long way to go in reducing poverty..but still i m far bettter of in india....the writer is an idiot...jus ask him/her to spend rest of the lidfe in china..he wud dread to do so...becoz reality is we don't worth what we have...democracy has few problems..u can't take hard decisions etc..so dowes everything...jus check thehu8man rights index of china...i m really proud to be an indian and happy to have the freedo

You are DAY Dreaming budy: In technology: China has already put a man in space. India has NOT In Science: More number of PATENTS are coming out of china than India. In Sports : Take one look at India's performance at the Olympics vs CHina's performace before commenting. In Culture and Literature are subjective to each REGION. You cannot say one culture is superior to another. Same case with literature. Also Bollywood movies have never won an Oscar where as the chinese movie Crouching Tiger did. Please stop deluding your self and start working Start by first electing the right kind of leaders and stop being argumentative.

China obviously has problems but so does India. The so called "Indian patriots" are blind to reality. We can not progress by using language like "agents", "traitors" etc. to criticize others.
