Karunanidhi is always critize the Hindu and their feeling. He never thought he is coming to power by hindu votes. He never critize any other religion he knew if he tell anything he will be gone. He is always look for minority vote (5% to 10%). His tactics wouldn't work anymore Hindus also having feelings and belifes. Being a leader he should always think about majority vote while bring reservation etc., He should control his words. Even DMK People are not blind followers any more....

The VHP leader by passing the Fatwa is in fact signing on Hinduism's own death warrant. We Hindus are playing into the hands of Islam by proving that we are as bad as them or even worse. The caste system is already used as a whip to whip Hinduism with and here is a Fatwa by a VHP. Are we doing any justice to Hinduism by spoiling the name of Hinduism. We ought to show to Islam and to the world that we stand different. If we issue Fatwas how different are we from Islam?

Rama is for Indians. Ram is not just for Hindus. Every man can learn something from Ramayana. It is a great story that teaches morale to all humankind.
Long ago in my childhood there used to be an historian named Sankalia. He prpounded that Rama was polygamous, the women in his palace wore no blouses and the lanka of Ramayana was in truth only south India and not the present day Srilanka and some other things which I do not remember. The point is nobody now remember Sankalia now. In another few years nobody will remember karunanidhi. But LORD RAMA will stay forever. So leave all these people alone. They are not worth wasting our time and energy.

You miss the important point. Karunanidhi as the Chief Minister sworn to uphold the constitution, publicly insulted the belief of a large segment of the citizen he is supposed to represent. He has a right to his personal views, but as a Chief Minister, he violated his office and oath. That is the issue.
I am truely sad seeing all these post. This is how we think in India about faith? Shame on us we call ourself tolerant people. Let Karunanidhi say whatever he pleases. He is not God's messenger. If he had any decency as politician or human he neverwould have made this kind of comments. I can understand people like him are making stupid comments, but what we as Indian are doing on this forum is really appalling. India is important to me not likes of Karunanidhi. They come and go.

Even I would have though bad about MK if he has said these things first. He was forced and instigated to do this because of some fools, who think there is a bridge which can last for 17 lakh years and that too across sea where it has ocean currents, erosion and tsunami. Can anyone in this present century can build such a bridge?? What a waste of time , we are arguing for a silly non existent thing...

Most of the hate messages here are from the Paki ISI agents. Their modus operandi is to come here on communally sensitive issues and try to badmouth about a segment of the people and their religions etc. Their aim is to create a situation where Hindus, Muslims and Christians are pitched against each other. Yes brother , I agree to your point that if it brings Revenue and development to our country and help alleviate the poverty just a little bit, then I am all for the demolishing of this bridge ( beloved though it might be to my heart and my heart pains for it but the living Jiva is more important than history).
But mind you, only if its proven that it will bring sizeable economical benefits to the common man. Thanks for your idea.

I am a hindu and I support this project to go ahead.For me, the religion should not interfere with developments. Welfare of the people is more important than religion. If we fight among ourselves in the name of religion and castes, then it will be difficult to bring up the poor people living below the poverty line. If Ram bridge is going to bring billions of dollors into our economy, then let us have it and protect it. If digging up a canal through the ram bridge will bring economic developments for the people and the country, then we should have the tendency to accept the reality. Go and ask a rich man whether you want Ram bridge or Seth project, he will say Ram bridge, If you ask a poor man, he will definitely ask food. We have 350 millions below poverty line.

Wishful imagination. This project is impossible to finish, but it will generate several EXXON VALDEZ and a shitload of abandoned towers in offshore teritory. It will merely drain revenue.

Please read only if you believe in 'humanity' (Manavata). My message is for them only who truely believes in humanity. I want to share a thought of spreading 'Good' and discouraging Bad.
If you like to hurt anybody, certainly it is Demon's pleasure. If you feel bad for anybody's pain, you are like a Human. If you sacrifice your hapiness and your time for removing other's pain, it is Godly pleasure.
I regularly read the messages posted on Rediff once or twice a day in my free time. I clearly find above three categories even while reading messages. Some readers deliberately irritate others and then it is like chain-reaction. But there are few good messages acting like buffers to calm down readers. I know, everybody have beliefs in life, everybody learns and struggles regularly and unfortunately everybody gets irritated regualrly in life. All are HUMANS.
Llet there be some more light and not only darkness for all. Please, let us spread good feelings. Let us create hope and not disappoint. Let us not fight on foolish statements of politicians. If you carry one candle of light, you may spread the light. So please try to be human and not demon. Let humanity win over all the ills. Let us be MORE HUMAN-LIKE and less DEMON-LIKE.
