Issuing fatwas and threats is not part of Hinduism.Who gave this VHP fool the right to issue a fatwa on behalf of 80 crore HIndus??? Karunanidhi might be wrong but getting back at him in a fundamentalist way erodes all the good things that Hinduism might have stood for in a day !

Hi Vijay, I absolutely agree with your views. We are doing exactly what the muslims are doing and that is not good. why are we copying the extermists' language. Ours is a very peaceful and brad minded religion. we have welcomed each and everyone in our religion, so why accept dirty terms like Fatwa which those muslims use. We are not terrorists or extermists or fundamentalist (wrong fundamentalist). So rather say" Chetawni" (warning. As far as Karunanidhi is concerned he has made severl enemies within a night, only God Knows what is going to happen to him. But still we being froma softer religion and abig hearted religion, we must Pray GOD to tech him a lesson in a nice way and give him a good knowledge. That would be a biggest punishment.

The obvious reason why Karunanidhi doesn't like Rama is, Rama never practiced polygomy. where as this dravid leader "Rakshasnidhi" officially has THREE WIVES. so naturally he doesn't like RAMA. You guys need to understand some basic similarities about Rakshas and Cultureless, brutal, desert dweller(Muslims)...
i feel such Fatwas will make a Hero out of an old Lecher [with 2 living wives and several Concubines and dozens of children] out to play to the gallery of Rogues.

As a hindu, I would say that insulting Lord Ram is very very sad. But I have an issue......
Some of our political leaders are thinking of historical things which are merged in water. It will be nice if they will try to save the monuments/religious/cultural monuments which are on the soil!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chennai:Following the Supreme Court's interim stay of the dredging work near Rameswaram for the Sethusamudram canal project, three ships involved in the work have been shifted out of the area, reports IANS
The court had stayed the dredging on Aug 31 on the plea of Janata Party leader Subramaniam Swamy that the government was planning to damage Ram Sethu between Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu and Mannar in Sri Lanka, with the dredging.
The ships doing dredging at the Rameswaram area, nearly 500 km south of here, stopped work at 4 p.m. Monday after removing 35 million cubic feet of sand and silt in the Palk Straits for the Sethusamudram Shipping Canal Project (SSCP).
The ships have moved 270 km north to Nagappattinam Tuesday.
Further, two supply ships that transported workers and material to the dredging site have also been ordered to move northwards.
SSCP officials are tight-lipped about the extent to which the Ram Sethu has been affected so far.
