Tamils are gems of Hinduism. Tamils in Tamilnadu and world over still follows Hinduism strictly. They have preserved Hindu artforms and scriptures. We have best Hindu architecture in Tamilnadu. Angor Wat, Bali Hinduism architectures are the great works of Tamil who spread hinduism in South east Asia.
If some one telling me that only 3% brahmins imposed hinduism in tamilnadu, supressed masses and created such great examples of art and architecture, he is insulting genious of rest of Tamils. Tamilnadu always had great Hindu kings like Chola and Pandyas.
Please do not blame Tamils because of one Idiot MK. Systematic brainwash in schools has not introduced to these basic facts about Tamil past to current Tamil youth.

what karunanidhi has said is really wrong. it has hurt the sentiments of hindus. how can someone challenge 'RAM'?? Millions believe in Him and His existence. What Karunanidhi has shown is his foolishness. Such people should be thrown out of the country. They create a feeling of divide among others. If tomorrow someone says something to a Tamil God will he keep his mouth shut?? We can also see, how many times roads are diverted in TN itself because there is some Local workship place in middle of the road and no one has the guts to remove it, not even Karunanidhi. If he thinks he is so powerful than let him clean the roads for all workship places in lets say Chennai itself, than we can talk about Sethusamudram Project. I know he cant do that, he has no guts. He should be hanged in middle of the road.

VHP/BJP always selects issues which do not matter,but which have the effect of eroding the confidence of hindus. it picked the babri masjid issue and constantly kept focussing on demolition of temples. actually,the muslim rulers just replaced the hindu rulers. if the ruler was good at governance,like akbar,things went on smoothly. on the other hand,if the ruler was a despot,like aurangzeb,rebellions would break out,like they did. the people who lived in those times,as people living now,were and are sensible. they dont blindly resist ,like what is happening in iraq.they watch the behaviour of the new rulers. if he proves to be an enlightened ruler,there is no resistance. when there is misrule,the people react with force. the bjp insults the past generations and the present generations of hindus by its actions,which are meant to procure votes. when the people elect them,they never debate in parliament,they always walk out.it is an insult to democracy. the bjp is in the business of making the hindus feel insecure and inferior ,to get votes. it always makes big fuss about non issues. A few of our educated friends have again fallen into the trap laid by the BJP. Mr. Vendanti, Please do not reduce Hinduism to the standard of other religions. As I understand Hinduism, it has given respect to intellect of all kinds of people. You will find some hindus being monotheists, some being polytheists, pantheists and atheists.
You will find different people following different philosophies. Common thing among every philosophy will be respect for other's beliefs.
Please do not use Hinduism to gain votes in elections. Karunanidhi is an opportunist. If Hindus can vote as a votebank, he will lick their feet as he is doing of muslims and christians attending iftar party and banning anti-christian movie.

tan, My religion tells me to respect others beliefs because there is no one book or god or philosophy. We have motley of philosophies. So as a tamilan, even when I visit sai baba temple, even if I do not believe, I respect others sentiments.
But your book ask you to convert others to your belief. It says that only islam is correct and other's beliefs are incorrect. Same is the case with christianity. Why this case of superioriy complex?
You know one thing, killing in the name of religion started with the advent of abrahmic religions christianity and islam. They killed among themselves and killed others also.
Anyway, Karunanidhi is a novelist and he knows lieterature, one swamiji has agreed to debate with him. Karunanidhi can accept it if he wants.
