Prejudiced and fanatic people cannot change their mind.Left is anti US, as such this was expected. In our system, there is no way out, only voters can teach them a lesson in next elections.

when they will get three times the seats they are having now...in the poorest country of the world that is India now...with 770 million poors..including you...left is the only option...

Which voters will teach them a lesson? Only with votes from two states (WB and Kerala) they are holding entire contry for ransom. Kerala voters always shuffle between left and right, but WB voters are steadfastly with the Commies. Till the time WB voters boot out the commies, I see no end to this from the red brigade - power without accountability.

To Mr. Khan and Sachin, We are to bear them in our democratic system. No way out.I do not have any appreciation for them, but they are keeping WB with them from the last 20 years. Certainly appreciateable.
.The LEFT in India is a leftover party after the Collapse of the USSR.It bats for China,Pakistan and Iran AGAINST the Indian people. See their track records for the last 60 Years. It has a big 80 plus Club of Garrullous Oldies from kolkatta and Young looking Oldies at heart and Moronic Heads like Karat,Yechury and others. People should ignore these Idiots.

Sadly the people you want them to forget are voting them, thats why they are having so many seats in LS. WB and Kerala voters should do away with commies, its high time now.

joseph varghese , I agree with you point .But Mrs. Gandhi was very pro-Soviet. I know what you mean. Leadership and guts that point you are right.
The commies are upto their tricks again. They are the foot soldiers of the Chinese.. and their loyalty lies in Beijing and not in Delhi.
Their objection to the Indo-US deal only goes on to show that they are the biggest hurdle to our progress. The people who elected them (Kerala and Bengal) should see to it that they are punished in the next elections. If they are really so fond of the left, elect them to the asemblies by all means.. but keep them out of the Lok Sabha. Why should the whole of India suffer because of the folly of two states ???

Sumit Dutta , In that case why cant they come out in open and say it. Your communist ideology is dead. GONE . It is not meant for poor.It is meant to exploit the poor and get vote and power.Soviet Union was a fine example.

What you say is probably correct Sumit. The fact that Bauddhadeb is forward looking and progressive is obvious to everybody. But that feact remains that he seems to have very little say in what the Left does in Delhi. That is precisely my point. Keep the left out of Delhi !!!

Just thinking if Indira Gandhi was there, she will definitely ban communists for ever at this point of time... She had guts and made such things...This Sonia madam do not have that...

But RSS became more powerful. Let not commies become more powerful by banning. Let them die their own death in polls.
LEFT HAS NO UNDERSTANDING OF INTERNATIONAL POLITICS. THEY ARE FISHES IN A POND, NOT IN THE SEA. INDIA HAS TO SEE IT'S OWN INTEREST AND ALLY WITH THE WINNERS. I AM SURE THAT MANMOHAN SINGH UNDERSTANDS THE ERCONOMICS MORE THAN THE LEFT. WE SHOULD TRUST HIM. WE HOPE TO ELIMINATE THE NUSANCE VALUE OF LEFT IN THE NEXT ELECTION.

But the short title of Hye Act is SEC. 101. SHORT TITLE. This title may be cited as the %u2018%u2018Henry J. Hyde United States-India Peaceful Atomic Energy Cooperation Act of 2006%u2019%u2019. A description of the steps that India is taking to work with the United States for the conclusion of a multilateral treaty banning the production of fissile material for nuclear weapons, including a description of the steps that the United States has taken and will take to encourage India to identify and declare a date by which India would be willing to stop production of fissile material for nuclear weapons unilaterally or pursuant to a multilateral moratorium or treaty.

Iran is a country that signed an agreement (NOT) and now going against it, If we look at that perspective our vote goes down well against Iran. Compare this with our agreements , even after so many wars and loss of life we still continue to honor Indus water sharing treaty with Pakistan.
Even if US walks out we would still have strategic reserves that would help running the reactors, as a worst possible case we may have to return the reactors at current market prices. Which is fair.
Even after Testing a nuke, US is not going to terminate the agreement right away, it is still going to examine under what circumstances it has done so (The tests), and then only any action would be taken.
Well I think it is in our interest to go ahead with the agreement rather than get sidelined. This may also act as a precursor for us getting sensitive space and military technology.
With sensitive space, military and nuclear technology only Pakistan and China should be worried, Communists have joined these two to destroy India from within.

You mean to say India had to vote for Iran, and support _another_ islamic country, that never supported us in any of our troubles in international fora, to become a nuclear weapon state?
If only guys remove their heads from sand they'll see that India and US are on the same side of the table, at this point in time.

very simple. Iran threatened Isreal saying they want to wipe that country from the face of the earth. When its leader talk like that what US is suppose to do. They are NATO allies. When did India threatended any country in this fashion? Iran(good old Perscia) want to dominate that region. And intimidate Gulf nations. We all know Percian history.

The contention that we are selling our sovereignity to the US is a load of crap !!!
Let the US walk out whenever they want to...! Remember, that the US is not the main supplier of Uranium.. and there is nothing in the agreement to say that we should not stock some Uranium for use. Atleast till that time we can have the right to import Uranium and generate some power. In any event, our need for Uranium is till the time our reactors using Thorium are not ready. After that we are free to use th fuel of our choice.. and would certainly go in for locally available Thorium. The intervening period .. say the next 10-15 years... is crucial for our development. The left obviously recognises this, and wants to see that we fail in comparison with their gods.. the Chinese.
