It is clearly understood that "Left" dont want to take "Right" decision for the nation. They are still caught in the past & those ideas of Communism for the whole world with petty politics & how to obstruct growth for the nation where they have been born & brought up & earned their living & reputation. They should instead look at the growth & progress China has made with market economy as their model for politics but they have their hidden agenda to obstruct all this for the people of this country at the behest of China which itself does not want that India should grow & stand in the same league. It is shame that people are electing such people as representatives for nation.

Ir-relevant Left
by paul on Sep 19, 2007 05:37 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I would adivise the congress to go ahead with the deal at the expense of Left. Let elctions be called & they can come out better without the support of Left as there will a re-alignment of the forces. Its better that way 'cos the Govt. will have a free hand in forcing decessions favouring our country. Feel, the present Govt. is doing a fairly decent job & can be allowed a 2nd term.

Nuclear deal
by T C on Sep 19, 2007 05:36 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

u should know that US doesnot have any kind of Nuclear thermal power in their own country. regarding cheap option and environmental issue hydal power is the best option. they r puuting preasure on us to control our state polisy and not for our help. US only think of their profit and business not of india's betterment.
Even Dr. Singh always hide the truth as also he done in past to conceal his 15 years IMF tenure

So TC wants India to become Backward like Kerala and Bengal? Typical Communist philosophy! If you cann't make them Rich, Bring everyone down to begging? And Commie Bas----rds should worry about India, rather than China. Why are they obsessed with American Hatred? Any Philosophy of HATRED deserves to be buried [and will be buried] if the World has to make Progress.

left on nuclear deal
by krishnamoorthy lakshminarayanan on Sep 19, 2007 05:30 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The left opposition is not in national interest. The left wants to side with the likes of Iran, Osama Bin Laden and other jehadis who are opposed to any action by usa.Itappears the left leaders have been financed by their comrades in China which is the only communist country in the world. It would be more revealing from where all commies in India get their funds. Without the Congreee, they are zero.

N-deal: Left rejects govt response to objections
by Gurudutt kamath on Sep 19, 2007 05:19 PM  Permalink

A public debate requires now > Govt of the day goes ahead with nuclear traty mechanism by beginning to talk to NSG members. Left combine in India, ever increasing their pressure against the deal, persistently. If the government goes ahead and left withdraws support to the government, after the discussion began, what position will we have on hand and the interested parties to the treaty and members involved in the NSG discussion.
