It is correct assesment that there is no historical evidence that sethu samudram ever existed. All these things are meare hypothysis and myths used by the hungry political parties like the B.J.P and also the Sangh PArivar outfits who are in bad needs of votes so that these partys and political outfits create a fear hypothysis and musture support from the innocnet people. Most of the people are unaware about this myth called sethu samudram and most of them do not know why they are fighting for and what is the benifit they will get by fighting.
It is always better to assess things which are economically good for the country if this projects takes place the sea route will be shortened by 650 K.M's and there will be tremendous benift for the govt and the economy.
But Sangh is Sang, the Rss Ideoology will take over everything even if its a lie people will believe the RSS. Very Sad thing indeed.

for instance if a road has to be widened ad a deveopment project, bloody fu.. cutlets oppose and the bloodt as..... , so called secular congress, Sp , left etc agree appeasing them.
why isn't flamily planning policy iprssed upon them, those mother fu..... have 5 wives and 25 children. Doesn't this hamper economic development.
No body has any right to debate about faith followed by hindus. Hinduism is the oldest religion, all other are converts and offshoots.

The Lack of Historical evidence implies that Such a bridge never existed or that no record was kept (poor historical sense of ancient Hindus)?All these things are meare hypothysis and myths used by the hungry political parties like the B.J.P and also the Sangh PArivar outfits? These myths are entertained by majority of Hindus and BJP is only representing them. who are in bad needs of votes-so what-all paries are in bad need of votes. The speed of the ships will have to be reduced so that the shorter distance is not a better option than the earlier route. The ships from other countries are not likely to use this new route where they have to pay toll.

Look - your approach is not correct. Religious beliefs are part of culture of people which should not be questioned as long they do not interfere with progress. DMK has its own agenda and so does BJP...Congress is trying to handle it and Manmohan and Sonia's wisdom will make sure this problem gets resolved. Manmohan and Sonia would not like to get distracted in the process of nation building and if a strategic retreat has to be done , then it will be done for everyone's welfare.
The main issue in Ram Sethu Project is its viability and ecological effects. We may or maynot believe about there being a bridge built by Vanara Sena but there is a bridge like structure. If it is not man-made but it is natural then how come the future formation of such structure be scientifically prevented and its cost effectiveness and burdern on the coffers vis-a-vis the profits of a short route. How far this would affect the Bioreserve in Gulf of Mannar and of course the most important of all the saferty issues for in the narrow strait and the security of our country would have been the appropriate issues to be answered by a responsible government whether it calls itself secular or not. Nowhere the issue went to the existence of Lord Ram. It is defying logic and common sense that a ruling party and its allies behave in important issues and democracy is hijacked. It is a very sad state of affairs and more of an irony that all of the ruling and elite mass of the country see the "Da vinic code" hundreds of times and even issue fatwas prohibiting the screening the film which was screened in all christian countries but take least care when denying our country the culture on which we proclaim to stand. Should we be happy that the Government did not go beyond that by filing an affidavit in denying Lord Krishna and the clinching evidences from sea near Dwaraka. Denying Lord Ram would not be any better than Denying Gandhi
ASI is the authority on such matters and their word is based on scientific findings. ASI never wanted to hurt the Hindu feelings. All that the ASI means to say is that Ram Setu, like other things in Ramayana, are mythological, and not actual provable history, and therefore, Ram Setu can not be allowed to interfere with India`s projects for its own prosperity. People have their own shraddha and they can continue to go on without being bothered by what the ASI scientists say. But,it is also true that the Ram Setu or the Ram Temple at Ayodhya has not done any basic improvement in our people. We are still a corrupt nation,we still have murderers as our MPs, our Sadhus, our officials etc.The Maha Bharat is also not provable history, because anything that lacks second party and independent third party corroboration is not accepted as historical truth. A High Court judge spoke something about Bhagvad Gita which, again, suffers from the same situation. But, if India accepts the HC justice`s opinion then, will it not tend to dismiss the Ramayana? At 1947, we, as children,heard of 33,00,00,000 deities(gods and goddeses) although no sadhu can give even a thousand names out of these deities. So, there would be a bigger problem with history. But, the shraddha is going on and new deities are being added (Amitabh,Indian Idols,Advani etc).Why punish the ASI scientists who only told the truth ? Just remove the hurtful portions from the affidavit and leave it.

Yes you are right but what hurts that this effort was made to please minorties and hurt Hindus in the name of RSS and BJP. Could you imagine the same mistake would be in case of Muslim and Christian? No way, if happens at least two or three ministers would have been sacked and big riot on roads lead by few politicians( sorry only Hindus politicians).

why then davinci code flim has been opposed by so called christians in india and it has been prevented from screening from so many states even those flims are screened in christian countries. when giving a message to people you should take care that those sentiments should not be affected.are these congress and DMK goverments utter a word against christians or musilims. will they allow ASI to tell any thing against christians or musilims sentiments? please mind your words before uttering anything.
These affidavits have ruined our judiciary.What a funny situation, if you say anything without affidavit, it is not official and does not have any legal meaning,
All decisions are delayed due to the reason that everything in court should be under affidavit only. This is 250 years old system, Any official statement in public or in court must be accepted as final version, istead of delaying all matters due to lawyers prarogative to put everything with affidavit.
