Are you serious, Mr. Vijay?
by a980@rediffmail.com on Sep 16, 2007 08:55 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

"Faith of any hue and region has to be respected unquestioningly. It is faith that makes people live and die for a cause, and not political jugglery."

Are you serious, Mr. Vijay? Yours is the recipe for civic apocalypse. A blind belief in any faith - Hindu or Mormon - is a surefire way to sign away all agency and powers inherent to one's civic selves. To die for a cause? Let me see you live for one first.

There is no need for my gods to have birth-certificates, I agree with you. There is, equally, however, no need for me to see my gods making bridges, dams, or industries for me. A government that I vote into power will do that for me, and my eyes will be open to its policies much as they will roll when I hear someone tell me to be Hindu means to blindly worship stock and stone. My faith does not die or weaken because Ram was mythical; it gains by the fact that I am required to make that imaginative leap in reason. Ram's birth-certificate is irrelevant not because Ram was real and you tell me so, but because I know I dont need it for my faith.

High class thinking.
Faith is for self, influenced only with my personal experiences.
Rallies and protests can never induce faith, they are for politcal mileages.
Or for a civic transform.
Fortune teller for the future,
Fate for the present.
Fictions for the past.
All religions have fictions,But they have corrected. why your faith should be contemporary.
All these spiritual leaders lived as humbles, and they did not have any ego.
On learning about thier life we keep them one step above the role model.
The difference being you follow the model and the model follows and guards you, as he has been made eternal.
That is how dharma works. Or any divine providence works.

Dear Siraj,
You can contort and twist the sanksrit sayings as the missionaries and the jehadis like. Learn Sanskrit, then read Ramayana. I was a born RC. I too beleived all these crap, till I read them on my own after learning sanskrit. Rama is GOD!!! Open your mind, Siraj. Dont let fools like Zakir Naik spoil ur life. Learn sanskrit, read Ramayana, try to experience God in this lifetime. Zakir Naik is nothing but a Jihadi, a war monger.

Ram and Krishna
by true tamilan on Sep 16, 2007 06:54 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Ram and Krishna were both incarnations of Lord Vishnu. Both of them were dark negroid.

Ram was an human avatar and ideal man. He sacrificed kingdom for satisfyng his father's vow. Later he sacrificed his beloved wife bcoz his countrymen had doubts about her chastity. He did not marry anybody and died yearning for her. Some people say that was wrong, but for me it was one of his highest sacrifices, he wanted to show that as he was a king, first duty was to his kingdom and its people and his personal feeling came next. In Ramayan, God Vishnu led a human being's life, went through different sorrows and happiness of a man without ever realizing he was a god.

In Krishna avatar, God was fully aware of his ability that it was god. So you will find the god flamboyant here. He married all the women who had wanted to be companion of the God Vishnu. God gives Gita in this.

Any other doubts

I am not a linguistic chauvinist. My mother toungue is tamil. But I respect all languages.

But whatever I said is true. Meaning of Krishna in Sanskrit is dark. Both rama and krishna are natives of India and were original inhabitants

Ram of Left parties
by Sankaranarayanan Doraiswamy on Sep 16, 2007 06:51 AM  Permalink

CPI() leader Jyothy Basu said it is hypocracy on the part of the BJP(TE HINDU)on Sthu Bridge. Is Basu sure of BJP's prposal of the Sethu Project by demolishing the said bridge? What is wrong in BJP playing hindutva card voicing for the mojority of the Hindu populaton of India, when with 60 seats how much chaos they are creating to the UPA. Why the so called secular Leftists are not voicing against the benefits suggested with great enthusiasm to the muslim minority alone and keep mum on Sachar report. It seems they are also instrumental in the bifurcation of the original Bengal into two divisions. If they do what they preach let them come out of UPA and support a uniform civil code. Instead of putting the blame on Congress Basu is blaming the BJP why? India is not W.Bengal, Kerala and Thripura alone.CPI when they came out of the old Communist party are indirectly supporting the Congress and now more because of Soniaji being a non Indian by birth. Our leaders blamed the English for creating two nations on religious basis but the communists are doing the same thing to divide the hindu population on divisive policy. Jai Karl Marx , Lenin, Stalin, Mao tse thung !!!!!!!!!!

RE:what the vedas say
by on Sep 16, 2007 06:35 AM  Permalink
The `holy' and `great' Vedas explicitly sanction the practice of female infanticide. Indeed, the real reason for this truly animal practice
lies deep in the blood-stained verses of the Vedas. The following verse, from the `sacred' Vedas of the `noble' faith of Hinduism, allows the practice, and takes it for granted as a normal practice in Vedic religion :
Taittirya Samhita VI.5.10.3 : " Hence they [ Aryans ] reject a female child when born, and take up a male."

Can you put the sanskrit verse for that. Do you know who practices atharva veda?

If u do not know hinduism, better shut up. That is the only religion in the world which gives respect to human intellect.

Others ask you to blindly follow what a so called prophet told

They are only a selected few. Only Gandhi is dependable, and he is also misquoted. All the others are Fools and crazy. Its not my word if you want to know the truth without bias please go through the History text books printed by the so called secular government and prepared bY the English them selves. Any How Rama and Hinduism have no need of support. Their authenticity is allready proved. Which other religious work survived for 6000 years. and 2000 years of constant attack.
