Though there is lot talked about this project initially it created lot of interest even NRIs on how is this going to help india in enhancing the shipping business. But after reading the details on the project and its intended use(read...political benefit) we feel sad. It is believed that Sethu is constructed during the war Ram fought with ravana and existance of Ram is universally accepted faith among hindus. So not sure what Government wants to prove to court here? Next on the usage of the project itself turns out to be wasteful excercise - as shipping in that segment is not very huge that it becomes like another Suyez canal to benefit us and also the new canal is not going to be very cost effective also as it is a narrow strite in which Srilankan-Indian navy has strong survelance (LTTE war)which is unsafe and not so encouraging for the shippers instead they prefere circumvent the area saving their business. Not sure what the government is gong to gain but tax payers money is wasted, it seems!
It is very much surpricing about the affidavit of ASI about the existance of Rama.No doubt,Rama existed in the country worshipped by millions of Hindus since 1700000years. He won a great war ,He was the most power full on the Indian subcontinent. That is why he is worshipped since Hindus worship to power or symbol of power.
There may be a lot of changes in the story of ramayan in 17 million years and different people have different ramayan like valmiki ramayan,tulsidas ramayan periyar ramayan,ambedkar,s riddles of ramayan.All may have differnt story and context but all agreed on the existance of Rama.
Adams bridge/rama setu may not be built by Rama but you can not deny his existance.
The concerned minister should apologise to the nation for hurting millions of Hindus
Will anybody from the secular brigade tell me if Rama did not exist or build a bridge across the ocean, how the place and the project came to be called 'Sethu Samudram'?
I think, by saying that there is NO PROOF of the existence of Lord Rama, Congress had hit the first nail on its own coffin...Let us see how far these selfish fellows drag the great Congress party...
